On ‘The Disease Of Dogs’ And ‘It’s Alive!’

30 June 2019 @ 16:46

The refusal to come to terms with the socialists and the dispersal of the Constituent Assembly led to the logical result that revolutionary terror would now be directed not only against traditional enemies, such as the bourgeoisie or right-wing opponents, but against anyone, be he socialist, worker or peasant, who opposed bolshevik rule.

—Leonard Shapiro, The Communist Party of the Soviet Union

Over at Facebook, Richard Fernandez [aka: Wretchard The Cat] makes a point the Fellow Travellers, Dupes, Intelligentsia, Apparatchiks, and even the Useful Idiots of The Left In America should heed:

The middle is getting so thin that those who sought shelter on it are clinging only by their fingernails.

The old Bolsheviks used to think their revolutionary records would protect them from the purge.

When one old Bolshevik reminded Stalin he saved his life, Stalin replied “gratitude is the disease of dogs.”

In the end you join the mob from terror not because you believe in it. Ultimately the Woke will be living in fear — of each other.

This is the way it always has been in every regime that has embraced Radical Leftism.  We are moving that way.

In another post, Mr. Fernandez remarks quite insightfully:

What we’re watching is mental preparation depicting the Other Side as illegitimate, hitlerian, fair game. The fist is forming subconsciously. It’s like a a person psyching himself into doing something against his better judgment, on the verge of losing control.

I think he’s speaking of the Fellow Travellers and Dupes here.

Out of that Fear mentioned above and a deep desire to retain their status with The Woke™, they don’t want to be left [pun intended] at the station.  After all, they need to have credentials to boast of at their wine and cheese parties, and at the political rallies they attend.

One more from Wretchard:

The thing that educated Western society assured itself did not exist has come for them. The arugula, crystals, diplomas and awards are not keeping It at bay.

You Dr. Frankenstein’s created The Monster.  Now you must deal with it — most especially since the vast majority of you don’t own firearms.

We’ll ask the man, where do you stand on the question of the revolution? Are you for it or
against it?

If he’s against it, we’ll stand him up against a wall.

—V.I. Lenin

Our terms for the Socialists should be only unconditional surrender.
