The Dalai Bama Speaketh [UPDATED]

05 February 2015 @ 13:25

President ‘Barack Hussein Obama’ speaking to those gathered at this Morning’s National Prayer Breakfast, when he and Valerie Jarrett weren’t making googly-eyes at the Dalai Lama:

The president said that while religion is a source for good around the world, people of all faiths have been willing to “hijack religion for their own murderous ends.”

“Unless we get on our high horse and think that this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ,” Obama said. “In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.

“So it is not unique to one group or one religion,” Obama said. “There is a tendency in us, a simple tendency that can pervert and distort our faith.”

Never misses an opportunity to point out the past faults of the religion of The West and, by doing so, indirectly degrade and disparage the greatest civilization the World has ever known..

Never misses an opportunity to utilize the false moral equivalence argument in comparing Christianity and Islam [and to insist that God and Allah are the same entity].

Never misses an opportunity to be a bombastic and Narcissistic bore.

This poor excuse for a Man is insufferable.

That we have not already Impeached him for his many High Crimes And Misdemeanors is a tribute to our wish to die by slow self-suicide.

UPDATE at 2119…

-Mark Levin’s take on ‘Obama’ and his vile speech may be found here.

-Mark Steyn’s take:

…Droning on about the Crusades and Jim Crow, Obama offers the foreign policy of Oscar Wilde’s cynic: He knows the price of everything and the value of nothing. And so, as the world burns, he, uh, redoubles his, uh, vigilance, uh uh uh… Whatever….

-The Right Scoop has the video of the Boy King and the Truth about the ‘terrible’ Crusades.

What we need, in fact, is another declaration of crusade.

Oh, how I do get tired of the worn out references to the Crusades, as if one day, Urban II the decided that everyone in Europe should relocate to the Levant for no reason.

No reason, that is, other than the fact that Byzantium was under attack and needed help.

More than that. The Arabs had been somewhat accommodating to Christian Pilgrims and the indigenous Christian population in Israel and the Levanant. The Seljuk Turks were not, and began persecuting the Christians. The Byzantine’s appeal sparked the first Crusade but the Turk’s persecutions were a powerful motivator.
