The Leftist Way Of Thinking – Part 666
From LifeNews, Sarah Terzo reporting, we gain further insight into how the mind of a Leftist works:
From the partial birth abortion ban trials, an abortionist is asked how many abortions he has done.
Q. How many abortions of first and second trimester have you done during the course of your career, if you can just estimate that?
A. I’m sure you’re talking about hundred thousands.
Dr. William Fitzhugh, abortionist, in sworn testimony in Carhart vs. Ashcroft, Lincoln, NE, March 30, 2004
Fitzhugh told the Nebraska court that his only worry was delivering a live baby: “The one thing that … I don’t want the staff to have to deal with is to have a fetus that you remove and have some viability to it, some movement of limbs, because it’s always a difficult situation.”

Be even better if he rotted in a crows cage before burning in hell.
One wonders how a person’s soul reaches the point where such indifference to the suffering and death of innocents is the default position.
I get so disheartened by the libertarians taking over the Right. Like the people at Ace of Spades who are all “pragmatic” about abortion, saying, “It’s a woman’s right to her body, blah, blah, blah.”
Just look into it, people! Don’t let it become an academic, how-many-angels-can-dance-on-the-head-of-a-pin argument. It’s a real person being dismembered – and for what? To mop up after sex-for-fun. Sort of like killing the witnesses to a bank robbery.
If you need something as gruesome as abortion to fix your situation, then what you did to get into that situation was WRONG!
Damn well put.
You identify the problem in a nutshell. That portion of the (nominally) “right” which seeks to eliminate social issues from the discussion, in truth desires to pursue licentiousness in lieu of responsibility. They hope to gain power without having principles. What they fail to realize is that without articulated principles their power will inevitably dissolve in favor of those who promise (but can never deliver) free stuff without strings.
This is a result, in some aspects, of the triumph of Utilitarianist Thinking.
And it’s so short-sighted.
They think if you just have low (or no) taxes and a thriving free market then the social issues (which they’re too cowardly to address) just don’t matter.
But hedonists can’t run a civilization anywhere but into the ground. All that glorious libertarian infrastructure will fall apart rapidly when people are doing nothing but watching porn. In no more than two generations, they will be the sort of people that don’t want to handle the serious issues and will beg for a government to take care of them.
Ghoulish.
