The One Mystery Of The 2014 Elections

I’ll let Iowahawk reveal it to you:

Catch it…and quarantine it, America.

While it is certainly tempting to revel in yesterday’s results, I find myself confronting a deep, abiding fear that the Executive Branch will take the next two years to embark on a “scorched earth” campaign designed to destroy what remains of this republic. There is no question that this president views the United States of America as a profound evil; a blight on the world. His agenda has been to punish us, and that agenda was formed in the mind of a small boy who never knew his father, but bathed in the hagiography of him and his influences thanks to his Marxist mother.

Immigration will be the first salvo; the lame duck Congress will attempt to enact horrific legislation. The question is, will there be enough Democrats who fear for their political lives to cross over to prevent it.

    God help us.

Based on some after action reports it seems a lot of dems have developed the notion that Obama doesn’t care about the party. The farthest left wing doesn’t care what he does to advance the cause. But dems in congress who can envision political life after Obama may decide their survival and their party’s is more important than his legacy.

The best that would be achieved if this is true is a rejection of Leninism in favor of Stalinism. Or, perhaps, ‘Stalinism in favor of Khrushchevism’ works better.

If he goes with executive amnesty this will kill any hope for dems to have a productive senate. Many of the bills Reid hides in his desk are bills some senate dems could have voted for. This is one of the reasons dems vote in lockstep with Obama, it’s the only votes they’re allowed to make. 90% of the votes taken in the senate were for presidential appointments. The conventional wisdom holds that Reid has been protecting his caucus members from having to make tough votes, but that’s not true. He’s been protecting Obama from having to veto bills that had some dem votes. Voting yes on Keystone is a no brainer for dem senators but would piss off Obama’s base. Obama would lose support not red state dem senators. Protecting the farthest left wing’s agenda will sooner rather than later kill the Democratic party. Some of them are ”cunning” enough to see that

I’m not arguing the virtuousness of Social Democratic Senators, but rather their ”animal cunning”.
