‘Suffer Not Yourselves To Be Betrayed With A Kiss’

28 June 2014 @ 17:48

Time and time again, we have sought a peaceful, but forceful, redress of our grievances, but have been rebuffed without the decency of a respectful hearing [or, often, any hearing] by the Left In America — this was not unexpected, as they are Ideologues and as such can permit no opposition to the fragile and unrealistic Narrative they have constructed, otherwise, their whole edifice of Logic-run-wild will easily collapse into a heap of rancid muck.

However, the response of the Republican Party and many supposed allies on the Right to our entreaties has been to wage a campaign of ridicule combined with an effort to destroy those organizations we have formed and of the reputations of those of us who have run for office or spoken with vigor in objecting to the present Corruptions and Tyranny — that campaign was the unkindest cut of all.

Any thoughts of aligning ourselves ever again with such disreputable, such underhanded, such malignant forces as the GOP and Conservative Establishments must be flushed and purged from our thinking.

How many stabs in the back must we endure?

How many calumnies must we have hurled at us, like so much human waste?

The actions of the GOP and Conservative Establishments in the Mississippi Primaries are sufficient grounds to precipitate a final and total break with those who blithely and gladly abuse we who are The Base.

Enough is enough: we must strike-out on our own if we are truly serious about seeing our Freedoms and Liberties restored.

Any feelings of affection we have towards any of the members of either Establishment must be put aside, must be sacrificed, so that we can well and truly banish the Temptations to Compromise with those who would [and already have before], if necessary to their selfish survival, serve us up to our Enemies.

There is not a single benefit to be derived from any future association with the GOP and Conservative Establishments.  In fact, any alliance with them will only achieve the setting-back of our cause.  As Patrick Henry said: ‘Suffer not yourselves to be betrayed with a kiss’.

It is time we stand-up and say, as Jeff Goldstein has:

I’m not a battered wife. You might accept a good beating if at the end of the day hubby brings home some food, but me, I’m an autonomous actor.

That’s the Spirit we must summon within our Hearts and Minds if our Just Cause is to have any chance of achieving Victory over the forces of Darkness and the forces of Banal Useful Idiocy.

Shame on the men who can court exemption from present trouble and expense at the price of their posterity’s liberty!

—Samuel Adams, writing as ‘Candidus’, in the Boston Gazette on 03 February 1776

From Legal Insurrection via neo-neocon, Actual Reporting from the UK Daily Mail: “MailOnline has learned that ‘Citizens for Progress’ is tied to a longtime Democratic political operative who was paid $44,000 to run racially explosive ‘robocalls’ in the same race.

“A political action committee founded by former Republican National Committee chair and former Republican Gov. Haley Barbour made those payments.”

So they didn’t just run those ads, they teamed up with “teh enemy” to make it happen.

I believe that none of us were surprised to learn this.

The GOP Establishment reminds me of those ‘Non-Aligned’ countries of the Cold War Era.

Jeff may not be a battered wife but he is as are we all, a battered citizen. Time to burn the bed.
