Dimwit Dads, Traitors, Tyrants, And Nonfeasant Tribunes

What Jeff Goldstein said:

If it is the case that Bergdahl’s father was in fact some hippy-dippy muddle-headed wannabe 60s throwback, and his encouragement to his son to follow his feelings rather than attend to his duty and obligations, then yes, I hold him accountable, and I don’t for have the sympathy for his suffering I might otherwise feel.

And in fact, I’d be the first to say that if, upon his return, Bergdahl is found to have abandoned his post and deserted, he should be tried.  And if convicted, he should be hanged — to show that his actions have consequences, in this case, the death of other American soldiers who stayed true to their oath, and the release of barbarous terrorists who, under no convention, are POWs, but are rather unlawful enemy combatants.  That is, terrorists.  Bent on killing more Americans.

The irony of having returned a soldier just to have him executed is not really ironic, at all.  It is in fact justice, if the facts in the emerging stories are correct.  And if we believe in justice, then we do what must be done, despite the price that has been paid.

As for the Obama Administration, should it be shown that they knew Bergdahl deserted — and that his sympathies lay with the enemy — then they are guilty of releasing high ranking enemies of the United States in order to bring home an anti-war fellow traveler.  And that should be grounds for impeachment.

Of course, this means we’ll need another investigation, and Mr Boehner is too busy weeping, tanning, and taking pot shots at teabaggers to do his fucking job.

Watching Obama circumvent them on everything he can’t get them to capitulate to — and watching them take it — has made many of us question the very need for a Congress in the first place.  I mean, if we wanted a bunch of feckless dickheads to lord over us and steal our money, we could just go directly to the Administration and skip the entirely useless middle men.

In any real sense, we already have.

The Congress has become a Reality Show, where what occurs during each episode is really of no consequence and success is measured by how many fans of it are entertained [and how some of those fans get paid to comment on each episode].

The vast majority of Power And Control is now vested in the Obama Administration, with it’s lackeys and army of sympathetic Bureaucrats [ie: Apparatchiks] carrying out it’s orders, doing the dirty work of destroying everything America stands for.

It is further aided by those non-officially-aligned groups that are in power positions in the rest of the Society [eg: the Media, Academia, etc….].

This Revolution is vast and relentless, never stopping to rest, joyfully willing to spread it’s poison into every, single nook and cranny of American Life.

We are hurtling down The Road To Perdition on the Highway To Hell in a car that is being driven by juveniles in adult bodies.

It takes a Herculean Effort every day not to give into Despair.

OUTLAW Agonistes.

It’s never too late to do the right thing, if you never think it’s too costly to do so.

It seems as though every week Obama manages to out-brazen himself. This time he may have gone too far, though. When Dick Dirtbag, Carl Levin, and Fauxcahontas won’t come to his defense on something like this (emptying Gitmo/lionizing an anti-war soldier), you have to suspect that he seriously miscalculated.

Let’s just hope the GOP tries a different tactic this time and avoids f*cking this one up.

Yeah…and pigs will fly out of my butt.

I think all this Democratic opposition to the Bergdahl exchange is purely for show. The Cause is all!

I dunno, this was truly a shit deal and the Preznit stood in the Rose Garden, made it into a sandwich, and told everyone to eat it. We’ll see. Maybe the party will cheerfully chow down, but I have a hard time seeing how they don’t get punished for it.
