Fr. Karras: ‘Where Is Harvard?’ / Demon: ‘In Here With Us’ [UPDATED]

12 May 2014 @ 20:04

Well…it seems the Black Mass will not be performed on the Harvard Campus this evening.

From WBZ-TV in Boston, we learn [tip of the fedora to Drudge]:

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – A “black mass” re-enactment that was scheduled to be held on the campus of Harvard University was canceled after protests.

The re-enactment was being organized by the Harvard Extension Cultural Studies Club as part of a series of events exploring different cultures and religious traditions. On Monday night, the club canceled the re-enactment, saying no venue was willing to host them.

The Satanic Temple will still perform the black mass “at an undisclosed private location” but it will no longer be sponsored by the Harvard Extension School.

Earlier Monday, Harvard University’s president said the student group’s decision to host the satanic mass on campus Monday night was “abhorrent.”

In a statement, Harvard President Drew Faust said the event “challenges us to reconcile the dedication to free expression at the heart of a university with our commitment to foster a community based on civility and mutual understanding.”

However, Faust noted the ceremony is “highly offensive” to many in the Catholic Church and beyond.

While it is true that the Catholic Archdiocese of the Boston Area protested the Satanic ritual, I can assure Dr. Faustus, er, Faust that the performance of this Evil ritual would have been offensive to every Christian and Jew.

You may not know this, madam, but all of us who believe in God believe that Evil exists.  We may disagree over the particulars, how it effects Mankind, but we know that Evil is real.

Being the President of one of the elite universities in the World, I would have thought you would have known that.

On second thought: maybe you wouldn’t be aware that fact because Harvard sold it’s Soul to Old Scratch a long time ago.

SPECIAL NOTE TO THOSE PLANNING TO ATTEND THE BLACK MASS: Don’t.  From experience I can tell you that you never know what forces might be unleashed and whether or not you have the strength to resist them.

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

Especially important is the warning to avoid conversations with the demon. We may ask what is relevant but anything beyond that is dangerous. He is a liar. The demon is a liar. He will lie to confuse us. But he will also mix lies with the truth to attack us. The attack is psychological, Damien, and powerful. So don’t listen to him. Remember that – do not listen.

UPDATE at 2033…

Lisa Graas informs me that Drew Faust is a woman, so I have replaced the word ‘sir’ above with ‘madam’.

Lisa also believes President Faust is to be commended for the way she has handled the matter.  As is obvious by my attitude above, I disagree, but Lisa’s argument is well-worth a read [NOTE: you cannot view her site in Firefox].

I’m thinking there’s too many people who are just used to things, and strongly desire to shock others these days.

Agreed. And they’re don’t know what they’re messing with. Evil is an active force in this world.

Can we now safely say that multiculturalism on campus has officially jumped the shark? Can we also safely say that we now have positive confirmation that adults are no longer running our institutions of higher education, not even our “elite” ones? Instead of shaking her head in sorrow, Drew Faust should have immediately told the young people in her charge that she would not allow them to do such a stupid thing. That she didn’t is, to my mind, very telling.

so, is it too late to start the rumor that they’re burning a koran as part of the ceremony?

Probably, but not too late to ask what their position on gay football players is.

I thought they read from a Koran at a black mass.
