On Entertainers Entering Through The Back Door

08 May 2014 @ 08:22

More allegations and lawsuits are emerging in Hollywood regarding the abuse of underage boys by homosexual members of the Entertainment Industry.

Yesterday, Michelle Malkin devoted her column to the subject and it is one I highly recommend. I know the subject is vomit-inducing to any decent, normal person, but, as adults charged with protecting children harm, we have to be aware of the nature of the dangers in our midst.

A highlight from Mrs. Malkin’s column [tip of the fedora to GeoffB]:

The same industry that sanctimoniously convenes has allowed countless children to be stalked, groomed, beaten, molested and raped on casting couches, in movie trailers, and at drug- and alcohol-drenched parties by Tinseltown predators. The alleged child rape scandal exposed by Egan does not exist in a vacuum.

There was a very good reason why, up until the early years of the 20th Century, entertainers had to enter premises through the back door. If they were allowed to mingle with non-entertainers, it was only in the parlors and ballrooms of the wealthy or among the lowest of the lower classes [those having no ambition to rise in the World] in their dens of depravity or squalor.

The former are prone to an idleness that affords them the luxury of engaging in risque behavior and brings on a boredom that they come to believe they can only relieve by being transgressive, by engaging in childish acts of defiance against morally acceptable conduct.

As for the latter, well, that they are fated to live lives that are solitary, nasty, brutish, and short is a damnation of their own doing, a result of the cowardice they possess in facing Life.

The Middle Class – the maintainers and guardians of Moral Standards – would justifiably look on in horror if one of their family members associated in a friendly or intimate way with entertainers. They would do everything in their power to stop the associations and shield their loved ones from this type, for they knew that the kind of people who pursued this kind of occupations were not Normal, they new

The type of people who enter the Entertainment Business are mostly thrill-seekers who, through an insecurity of some sort, seek applause and who enjoy pushing boundaries because they never quite grasp the importance of maturity [I was in the music business for about fifteen years and associated with people from all areas of the Entertainment Industry – I observed these people first hand and was one of their kind]. Such people have a deep-seated need to keep pushing those boundaries because, eventually, they no longer obtain the necessary thrill at the particular boundary they’ve reached. So, they believe they have to penetrate deeper into the well of Depravity in order to satisfy their insatiable lust for the rush that transgression brings them – hence the prevalence of Homosexuality and Bi-Sexuality among such people.

In our desire to show appreciation for the Entertainer, especially the type who are also Artists, we have made the mistake of trying to fit them into Normal, every day Society, not realizing that it is exactly those gifts they possess to entertain, what causes them to be able to enjoy them as we do, that make it imperative that we keep them as far away from us personally as possible, most especially our children.

My experience with entertainers was mainly with musicians-as-academics and while I wasn’t (thankfully) privy to their inner circle intimacies, I learned enough to know that they pretty much all slept with each other. If they all want to bang each other, then fine, but at a certain point it seems to be less about plain old hedonism than it is about power games. When you involve people who are, by law and by nature, incapable of consent, then it’s about evil power games.

Few people seemed to really listen to Corey Feldman before. Will they start to take him seriously now?

The seminal French composer/organist Cesar Franck raised eyebrows when he married an actress. William Shakespeare was an actor/writer, devoted husband and father and devout Roman Catholic during the reign of murderous-to-Catholics Elizabeth I. Brando, Dietrich and Olivier were indiscriminate. Gielgud and Hudson were straight up queer. Then there are the producers and directors (e.g., Tamahori). The offspring of Hollywood principals and seconds are notoriously indiscriminate and drug-addled coming from way, way back. So, overall, yes indeed, degenerates at least and criminals maybe most. Ambition is a cruel mistress.

Fifteen years in the industry. Bob, you owe the world a book.

I’ve thought of it, although it would mostly be about the characters I’ve met, since I failed to achieve fame.

On the other hand, there was Theodora, wife of emperor Justinian. She was older than him, an actress, and reputed to have been a prostitute. BUT when the Occupy of their day was burning Constaninople around them, she gave a speech about honor, virtue, manliness, and nobility that rings true even today.

(and the speech was reported by a writer who HATED her)

But, yes, mostly the caliber is closer to Roseanne Barr than Theodora.

There always exceptions to the rule. Ronald The Raygun, anyone?
