Bob Belvedere’s Medieval Christmas

24 December 2013 @ 15:00

I believe the Medieval Period produced our best Christmas music, so enjoy…

-The Truth From Above…

-Good King Wenceslas…

-Nove Geniture…

-As I Lay On Yule Night…

-Riu Riu Chiu…

-Nowell, Nowell – Tydyngs Yrew……

-What Child Is This (Greensleeves)*…

-This last song was actually written in the 18th Century, but I believe it fits in here and is a fitting end to our reverie…

*Though Henry VIII is often credited with writing
this song, many music scholars believe the tune
dates back to the 13th Century.
