Why The Verdict Is Still Out On @SenTedCruz

10 December 2013 @ 20:41

From National Review Online, Jim Geraghty reporting, we learn [tip of the fedora to Amanda Carpenter via Sissy Willis]:

Senator Ted Cruz (R., Texas) walked out of the memorial service for Nelson Mandela when Cuban “president” Raúl Castro began speaking.

Good for you, Mr. Cruz — no Communist should ever be given any legitimacy…wait…what?…the Senator was at Nelson Mandela’s funeral?

Would that be the same Nelson Mandela who was an unrepentant terrorist and COMMUNIST???

I can only ask:

WTF, Senator. W-T-F?

On Cruz…”my enemy is my friend”…he just couldn’t mange it!

The old goat you are referring to isn’t buried yet, dear Bob. The dog and pony show is still on and he will be put to rest after that. I live out here, you know. IkeJ

I love goats; actually I grew up with them. The old goat we are referring to in this instance is a despicable human being. IkeJ

Not only that, but Cruz flew there at the tax payers expense. I don’t recall Mandela being a citizen of his district. To this limited-government partisan, that smacks of some hypocrisy.

Evilbloggerlady may think that it is funny or clever to pitch in with this nonsense.

      What a shame?

I am disappointed that you published this, Bob. I know all the stories about press and personal freedom, but this is not the time.
