The TCOTS Six Days Of Cheesecake: Monday

13 May 2013 @ 23:15

It’s that time of year again!

On Tuesday 07 May, this site celebrated it’s Fifth Anniversary [thank you, thank you…thank you all…please…oh thank you…you’re wonderful, thank you so much…no…no…I don’t need a standing ovation, thank you…thank you…thank you…come on now, we won’t have any time left if you keep this up, thank you…thank you all…thank you].  Well, that was one heckuva surprise, thank you all.  Anyway…as I mentioned: last Tuesday, I decided to delay our celebration one week in order not to take any of the thunder away from Stacy McCain’s annual National Offend A Feminist Week celebration.  So here we are: NOAFW ended yesterday and now it’s time for a swingin’ affair.

In celebration of this monumental occasion, I have declared and decreed that there shall be Six Days Of Rule 5 Cheesecake here at The Camp Of The Saints And The Beloved City.  What better way to mark this wonderful milestone than to reward you, my dear readers, with some of the best vintage snaps of some of world’s most voluptuous gals.

This year we’re going to do something a little different.

Instead of featuring the work of various photographers across the decades, TCOTS is going to showcase the work of one of the best pin-up photographers in the business today.

Celeste Giuliano is an artist who specializes in recreating classic pin-up and glamour shots and her work has been justly praised across the world.  So, without further adieu, let’s get this joint hoppin’.

Excelsior!…

With a BFA in Photography, over 10 years experience as a photojournalist and a lifelong passion for retro pin-ups, Celeste Giuliano first offered the unique idea of vintage-styled portrait photography in 2005. Her business, Celeste Giuliano Photography, located in Philadelphia, PA was an immediate success and was featured in multiple publications and on television. Since then, she has become a pioneer in the new wave of pin-up artists and her studio has been recognized worldwide as a leader in vintage-styled portraits.

“I have always loved the sex appeal of the women from the 40′s and 50′s. The women featured in Gil Elvgren and Alberto Vargas paintings, as well as the Hollywood starlets of that era, were all glowing with beauty and confidence.  During this period, it was more about engaging the viewer with a flirtatious smile, with the tease of a garter or with tantalizing curves.  This is something women of all ages, shapes and sizes can experience, but rarely do in today’s world.

“By giving the modern woman a place to discover these hidden joys, we also give them another reason to understand how glamourous and beautiful they are.  And even though about 90% of our clients are ‘ordinary gals’ who have never posed for a professional photo before, there is a confidence level we can help bring out to make them feel like a pro.  After all, my team and I at Celeste Giuliano Photography are ‘ordinary gals’ too and are committed in giving every woman that amazing one of a kind experience they deserve.”

And her “Love Birds” gallery shows men and women in a proper environment, and happy together.

Indeed. It’s too bad those did not fit in with the theme of this week.

Perhaps you can start such a week with a love bird theme. Kind of an extension of NOAFW. Feminists positively H8 women happy with men. Cheesecake being the 2nd NOAFW, and Love Birds being the third week.

    How fitting and pleasing,
    these pics retro teasing,
    pin-up candy for the eyes.

With a wink and a nod,
    a thank you to Bob
for the extended version of the Rule 5.

And many of those ladies are not models, but ordinary women.

If you listened to the media, who’da thunk?
