From The Washington Times, Stephen Dinan reporting, we learn [tip of the fedora to The Lonely Conservative]:

Jose Antonio Vargas, an illegal immigrant and former reporter,  scolded a  congressional panel on Wednesday, saying that he should not be  called illegal,  and saying it is an insult to his family who brought  him here.

TonyHancock-Really-b2“When you inaccurately call me illegal, you not only  dehumanize me, you’re  offending them,” he said. “No human being is  illegal.”

Mr. Vargas testified to the Senate Judiciary  Committee alongside Chris Crane — a U.S. Immigration and Customs  Enforcement agent and president of the ICE  agents’ union — who is unable  to arrest him under the administration’s new  non-deportation policies.

Mr. Vargas, who “came out” as an illegal immigrant  several years ago,  delivered an emotional plea for the country to  legalize him.

“What do you want to do with us?” he asked the committee.

Last week, a top House Democrat also warned colleagues against using the term “illegal immigrants.”

“Our citizens are not — the people in this country are not illegal.  They are  are out of status. They are new Americans that are immigrants,”  Rep. John  Conyers Jr., Michigan Democrat, told colleagues on the House  Judiciary  Committee.  [BOB: Dropped on you head repeatedly as a kid, eh, Johnny?]

Yid has a message for this illegal alien:

While I believe that people such as Vargas should have some pathway to staying here permanently (only after the borders are tightly sealed), there is no sympathy on my part for the politically correct nonsense about not calling them what they are Illegal and Aliens. Today Mr. Vargas whined his case to Congress.

While Jose Vargas may not have known his presence in the U.S. was illegal, the adults who sent him here did.  I am sorry if you feel I offended them but they knew they were sending a minor to a place he was barred from going. They caused you (a minor) to break the law. That makes them twice as guilty.

[NOTE: Unlike Yid, I believe is ripping-up the pathway and putting in a parking lot.]

WARNING: Vulgarity approaches!…

A is A, Vargas — a thing is what it is.

You can call ‘A’, ‘B’, but it will always be ‘A’ — that’s Reality, amigo.

Yid was rather patient with you, but, you know, I’m not — regarding your demand: Fuck You.

I have the perfect response to this nonsense; that the countries that depend on the USA to take in their human detritus at full benefit of our society must reciprocate fully and allow our citizens to move to their countries and create the same turmoil with no questions asked. Mexico does not allow foreigners to become citizens I believe, or to own property for certain lengths of time, they should be required to reciprocate totally or mass expulsion…. They should have the same rule of law. Our expatriots should have the same rights in Latin America as they want their former citizens to have here. Expect to hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth….

I love the sound of wailing and gnashing in the morning.

oh, you’re not illegal? ok. i’m going to go break into your house when you’re not home. I’m not illegal there either. same-same, right?
