#AllenWestForSpeaker – I’m In!

14 November 2012 @ 13:52

Jeff Goldstein has a great idea for a campaign:

…While [Allen] West is fighting what we all know was a rigged election (one whose outcome I’d bet pleases the GOP, the leadership of which likely did its own quiet celebrating), perhaps we should begin the campaign to have him challenge John Boehner for the Speaker’s position.Seriously.

At the very least, just so we can have the two square off, or at least, to force a confrontation of their competing ideologies and visions for the GOP going forward — which means we’d get to see Boehner cry again. And who can ever get enough of that?

Not me. It always brightens my day when he does it. Mr. West would cause Cryin’ John to have his worst crying jag ever.

By law, you do not have to be a member of the House to be elected and serve as Speaker Of The House, so such a campaign would not be a wasted venture.

Mr. West is certainly someone who ‘gets it’, who really understands just how serious a situation we are in, who knows we are on the verge of not simply a financial collapse, but a societal one, as well.

It’s certainly an idea worth serious consideration in the coming days [along with the idea of urging Michele Bachmann to run].

    Eeh, not sure on this.
Boehnor is a major league puss and would probably be very vindictive to any Republican that voted for West.

Now’s not the time to go all wobbly, George.

Best way I’ve heard yet to find out where Boehner and friends actually stand.
