‘Get On Board And Haul Romney Across The Finish Line’

01 October 2012 @ 13:51

Michael Reagan thinks it’s time we on the Right got ‘mad as hell’. Please see the video here.

My good Friend In The Ether, K-Bob, thinks so too:

I know many on the right will decry this notion of "getting mad" as counterproductive.

But that’s based on the assumption that anger is the whole point of what Michael Reagan is talking about. Well, clearly it’s not the point at all. Many times people claim to be mad or angry, when what is really going on is they have reached a decision, and are simply determined to be heard.

That isn’t just anger. It’s the beginning of a preference cascade.

We cannot possibly endure another Obama term in this country. The argument from [Alan] Keyes requires our survival of another Obama term; well I’m here to tell you, that condition has evaporated.

This isn’t like the election of Bill Clinton, or Jimmy Carter, or LBJ. Obama has zoomed through the lowest, slimiest, or most incompetent moments of any of those men. He is not fit to be included among former Presidents, and he is not fit to be any sort of standard bearer for humans of any color.

I warned folks Romney was not the man we need at this time. But the primary is over.

I claimed he would lose because of Romneycare. My main aim throughout the primaries was Restoration, and Romney was not the man for that particular job. You can see it here by searching on my screen name. Well I was wrong. No, I wasn’t wrong about Romneycare in general, nor about Mitt’s lack of ability to set forth the principles of Liberty. No, I was wrong because conditions have changed. I had no idea the enemy we would face in Obama’s open treachery and the media’s complicity in it. I doubt even the most forward-thinking, pro-liberty "thought leaders" did either. Not the actuality of it. Not the overtness of it. Not even after all America has been through since the days of Weimar Germany.

Face it: six or seven months ago, the lies were more subtle (though much like a needle to the back of your hand, even so). But in the past few months—and especially the past two weeks—the lies have grown to rival those of Stalin and Khrushchev. And the media, and Hollywood elites, are going along with it (in hopes of retaining elite status in the New Republik they hope to bring about. Dachas for everyone! Everyone in the party elite, that is). This is exactly the sort of following that Lenin and Stalin garnered in their van: the effetes, the fame-seeking, and those who simply wanted power over others. They have taken off their masks, and they have become an imminent danger.

In short, things have gotten much worse than before the primary season.

So I decided to get on board and haul Romney across the finish line. All of my worries about his fealty to the cause of liberty will have to wait until after November 6. Things are so bad that all of us who love liberty and America must do this. That includes Dr. Keyes, and I’ve read his message. Six months ago he was right. Things are different now.

So my message is this: All of you supposed right-siders who have been complaining about Romney: the primary is over. Get past it. Now.

Regardless of what you think of Romney, you’d damn well better be pulling the oar or doing your share to get Romney elected, or at the very least: stay the hell out of our way.

Well put.

We’ve been dealt a so-so hand. Our only choices are to fold — give up and lose the game — or play the cards and try to win.

All real Americans are not quitters. We fight even when the odds are against us. We soldier on.

The election of Willard M. Romney will not mean we can return to our plows and get on with our ‘normal’ lives. As Mark Levin keeps reiterating, his election will just give us some breathing space, time to regroup. It is our duty to ‘haul Romney across the finish line’ — Lord knows, he needs our help.

The New Normal is that we will have to pull guard duty on this Republic for the rest of our lives. Sacrifices will have to be made by us, by our children, and by our grandchildren.

That any of us thought it was normal to not pull a watch is a tribute to our failure to live up to the Legacy bequeathed us by The Founding Fathers and explains why the Left was able to march through all of our institutions. These reasons underlie The Present Crisis.

Actually the American Left and their Media are worse than Lenin or Stalin. After all at least Lenin and Stalin had the decency to put some of their own in front of the wall.

AMEN! I certainly hope so! United we stand, divided we fall!

Indeed. We have to understand that, at best, the ‘United we’ will never be more than about thirty percent of the population, however.

Those effetes, fame and power seekers obviously didn’t study their history. After the revolution, they were the first oners put against the wall.

Of course the primary is over and any doubts (mostly true) don’t mean diddly squat now. We have a choice and it’s Romney or Obama. That’s it.

Unless the person on the ballot is a wife beater or pedophile I will vote a straight Republican ballot. I’ll worry about weeding out later in a primary. The Indiana Tea Party did just that by getting rid of Lugar and replacing him with a conservative Republican. This should be our strategy going forward. Until the Socialist progressive Democrat party decides to once again become a party of the United States and it’s constitution I’ll never vote for a Democrat again.
