Fear And Loathing 2012: Gotta Get Down To It

26 September 2012 @ 13:43

America’s Favorite Gonzo Reporter™, Robert Stacy Beauregard Robert E. Lee McCain is still in Ohio following the Romney/Ryan Bus Tour as it winds it’s way through The State Of Presidents.

-As I compose this post, he’s on his way to Toledo where he’ll be covering a rally later this afternoon.

-This morning, Stacy filed a report over at The American Spectator:

DAYTON, Ohio — Nearly 4,000 people turned out Tuesday to cheer Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan at an airport rally here, their numbers and enthusiasm contradicting polls that show President Obama leading by a wide margin in the Buckeye State. This contradiction inspired me to conduct my own poll, although my methodology might not have been entirely scientific: I walked up to the crowd behind the barricade and shouted, "Does anybody here believe the polls?" The crowd shouted back in unison: "No!"

Perhaps my survey wasn’t based on a random sample, but I’m pretty certain of the conclusion: Republicans here are profoundly skeptical of polls indicating Obama on the verge of walking away with Ohio’s 18 Electoral College votes. Nor is this skepticism limited to Ohio….

Do take the time to click here and read the rest, and, also, check out this complimentary post over at TOM.

-Also this AM, Stacy filed a report on the really, really dumb and insulting question CNN’s Jim Acosta asked Willard yesterday, and asks the important question:

Show of hands: How many of our readers would like to see Mitt Romney punch out a network reporter on live TV?

-The rest of the reports Stacy has filed since I posted about his trip two days ago:

If the current polls are reliable… Nixon will be re-elected by a huge majority of Americans who feel he is not only more honest and more trustworthy than George McGovern, but also more likely to end the war in Vietnam. The polls also indicate that Nixon will get a comfortable majority of the Youth Vote. And that he might carry all fifty states… This may be the year when we finally come face to face with ourselves; finally just lay back and say it — that we are really just a nation of 220 million used car salesmen with all the money we need to buy guns, and no qualms at all about killing anybody else in the world who tries to make us uncomfortable. —H.S.T.

And while the Chin Pullers cannot be trusted or listened to, Romney needs to be on the offensive with Obama. I get rope a dope, but come on.

This is good advice for Romney: “If Romney said during the debates that he’d not give another fucking dime to countries whose officials put hits out on American citizens — and challenged Obama to do the same — the stumbling pablum dribbler would shit his multiculti boxer briefs.”

Okay, maybe change a word. Other than that just about spot on perfect.

How about he not spend another dime on the EPA, the Energy dept. , the Education dept, etc.etc. Until then I view him as Obummer light. I won’t even bother going to the voting booth. I know how fucked up Obummer is….I don’t know how fucked up Romney is. His governor status in Mass does not impress me one damn bit. Romney care, gay care, abortion care…what the hell differs him from the useless ONE.
