The Immolation Scene

14 September 2012 @ 10:58

-Pam Geller was [rightly] worried last night about what may happen today:

Tomorrow is Friday prayers in Islam — the point at which violence traditionally explodes. Imams incite and ignite devout religious fervor, and tomorrow analysts expect the Middle East to explode — inshallah [trans: 'Allah willing'], of course.

We watch and wait…expecting the worst.

-The FBI and Department Of Homeland Security have issued a Joint Intelligence Bulletin that warns of possible violence within The United States. Here’s the key part of it, I think, via a report by ABC News [tip of the fedora to the Drudge Report]:

"First responders should remain aware of the potential for spontaneous large crowds and protests that could overwhelm resources and should be vigilant for possible efforts to encourage peaceful protesters to commit acts of violence," the warning said.

It urged "faith-based organizations to promptly report suspicious activities that could indicate pre-operational plotting against Jewish, Coptic, Islamic, or any other faith-based communities."

It added, however, that there was no information regarding any specific threats.

Considering all that has happened in the past few days since 11 September, issuing a warning is the right thing to do. The possibility that Muslims will commit acts of violence within The United States is quite likely, given their past track records and the fact that they have many committed adherents living here.

However, the FBI and Homeland Security couldn’t get through a simple, reasonable warning without lacing it with Moral Equivalence. I would be willing to bet everything I own that there is no serious ‘pre-operational plotting’ going on that targets Muslims. To insinuate that there is, is disgusting. It speaks to a willful attempt on the part of those two organizations to further Balkanize the American people and to strengthen this Administration’s Dhimmi credibility.

-Mark Steyn, commenting on the actions of the MSM over the past few days on Hugh Hewitt’s Show, nails it [tip of the fedora to Paco]:

…I mean, this is a totally postmodern approach to news coverage, even by the court eunuchs of the American media, because it’s as if Libya and Egypt and Yemen, and everywhere else, aren’t real places on a map where real people are being killed, and America as a nation-state has real interest. It’s just as if they’re some sort of off-stage pretext, what Alfred Hitchcock used to call the MacGuffin, that you can use to beat Mitt Romney around. You know, if Mitt Romney had said nothing, he’d be mocked as a naïve person out of his league on foreign affairs. If he says something, then people say well, politics should stop at the water’s edge. No, no, this is a humiliation. The United States is becoming a global joke around the world. And it’s becoming a global joke because of scenes like what happened in Benghazi, and reactions like we saw in Vegas. The United States is becoming a global joke.

And the non-West is laughing their dirty little arses off [that would include many members of the Administration and the Congress].

-More Styen, this time on the call by General Martin Dempsey to the pastor that was involved in the anti-Mohammed film which is part of this whole story:

…I think that’s great, isn’t it? The chairman of the joint chiefs of staff is calling individual U.S. citizens asking them if they could just tone it down a bit.

…I think this is actually disgraceful.

I think for one thing, we’re talking here about what is nominally the most powerful government in the world. I know it doesn’t look that way on the streets of Yemen or the streets of Benghazi right now, but it is supposedly. And the fact that this guy is calling up some no name pastor in whatever it is, it’s absolutely disgraceful. I’ll tell you something, if I were president, and don’t worry about that, it would require a very bizarre coup for me to find myself in that position, the first thing I would do is fire General Dempsey. The senior most generals on the U.S. Defense staff have no business calling up private citizens and then announcing it to the newspaper. You know, this guy, he’s supposed to be sticking pins in a map, and figuring out where America’s enemies are on the other side of the world. This is something that in free societies with civilian control of the military, this is outrageous.

Dead solid perfect. This is banana republic stuff.

-Paco, by the way, has the details on the fact that Obama skipped all of his intel briefings for the week leading up to the anniversary of 09/11 and how he skipped the one the day after.

-In another post, Paco makes a very spot-on observation about the Mohammedins that could, with very few changes in wording, apply to all Leftists:

It’s about an irrational hatred fueled by the extremist views of a triumphalist medieval religion that has set down deep roots among millions of people seeking to give purpose to their otherwise dull and hopeless lives by participating in a cultish movement bent on building a delusional paradise based on destruction and death. It is a Grand Distraction from the dreary and sometimes desperate pointlessness of their daily existence, an opportunity to shine, spiritually, in a corrupt and oppressive temporal world that they have neither the wit nor the courage to change along humane and practical lines. It is the clannishness and tribalism of the Bedouin writ large, and The Other, no matter what proofs he may offer in token of peace and friendship, is always the foe, an obstacle to the creation of the universal Dar al-Islam.

Both the Muslims and Leftists are Nihilists — and until we understand this, accept this truth, then will not be able to effectively mount a successful campaign to defeat them both. And if we don’t defeat them, they will either enslave or murder us.

This is a war between the forces of Light and the forces of Darkness, between Good and Evil. And we had better acknowledge this fact and act accordingly.

-This situation has brought the contempt the Left, especially in America, has for Free Speech out in the open for all of us, who refuse to believe it’s true, to see.

Jeff Goldstein has the grim details here and comments:

…what the Obama administration is endorsing is sharia blasphemy laws — in a direct perversion and inversion of our own First Amendment. Simple as that. And in a direct assault on our Constitution and our very unalienable rights.

Andrew McCarthy:

The Obama administration has brought this on itself, and the rest of us, by elevating sharia blasphemy standards over the First Amendment. As I explain in Spring Fever: The Illusion of Islamic Democracy, the State Department is working with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, a bloc of 57 Muslim governments, to impose a resolution demanding that all nations enact laws against condemning not only incitement to violence based on religion, but also incitement to discrimination or hostility to religion.

It is no secret that Islamic law brutally punishes what it regards as blasphemy — any insult to Islam or its prophet, no matter how slight. Yet Obama has raised the expectations of Egypt’s government that he stands with them on this principle. In fact, in 2011, his State Department went so far as to host the OIC’s “High Level Meeting on Combating Religious Intolerance.”

You can purchase Mr. McCarthy’s e-book here.

Charles Krauthammer on Hillary Rodham’s statement yesterday [which you can read here — if you can stomach it]:

The worst line in the clip you showed was this where she said there are different views around the world about the outer limits of free speech. Why is she engaging in a disquisition on free speech with the mob? The implication here that, perhaps the mob is right, that we ought to be suppressing anything that offends Islam, this is a nation where somebody puts a crucifix in bottle of urine and it ends up in a museum. We allow all kind of expression. But perhaps we ought to make an exception in the case of Islam. This is absurd. She ought to be speaking to the heads of state, to the State Department equivalents in other states and saying ‘You speak to your mob and talk to them and defend the embassy.’ This is return to statement a few days ago, I think and they are totally in meltdown at the State Department.

Special Message To Those Of You Who Think Hillary Would Have Made A Better President Than Obama: Wake up and smell the Rodham — she’s just as much of an amateur and incompetent as the jug-eared Magic Negro.

-Tonight on PBS, they will be showing the final part of Wagner’s RIng Cycle, Gotterdammerung, where Brunhilde sets the world on fire and jumps into the flames. Rather good timing, eh?

I may update this post later this afternoon.

We have sown this field, and the reaping is what we deserve. The bitter fruits of this harvest will be distilled into the cup. The draughts of this will either kill our civilization, or get us to stand in virtue.

We have a military leadership problem. Not only is Dempsey leaning on US citizens but if you recall Petraeus did the same thing. Begging citizens not to piss off muslims. Isn’t it comforting seeing Petraeus in the CIA. Next you’ll find Dempsey in the FBI or running NSA. Military leadership is focused on approving gays in the military and women in combat and with that as a focus its time to close the Pentagon. Maybe run some pigs through the offices and corridors to run out the muslim sympathizers first. There seems to be leadership failure in every single institution in this country including religion. WTF is wrong with these people?

Dempsey’s career along with many others must end on January 20, 2013. It’s never too early to start working on the must resign immediately list. The more extensive purge list can be executed during the first few months of the new administration but in no case should the need for a qualified replacement be considered valid as a reason to hesitate in expelling dangerous people from government service. Better that policy work go undone, than be done by traitors to this nation. It must become a certainty that Dhimmitude, political correctness, multicultural diversity worshiping advocacy for policies that are anathema to a free and exceptional people and nation are career limiting attitudes.

    After viewing these pictures,–traditional-Middle-East-time-protest.html
I’ve determined that each and everyone of our embassies and consulates needs to be equipped with a minimum of four mini-guns and one million rounds of ammo for them,
