From Adjoran’s Keyboard To God’s Ears

13 August 2012 @ 06:01

From a comment Adjoran left in a Stacy McCain post:

In contrast [to the Romney/Ryan appearances], Obama’s appearances this year have been in small venues. They always show the same shot, too — a tight shot of Obama speaking at the podium with a few dozen people standing behind him. He always has his sleeves rolled up to his elbows, too — as if he ever did an honest day’s work in his whole misbegotten existence.

The camera angle is always that same view, though. You never see the crowd. Ever wonder why? They couldn’t get enough of showing us the teeming, enthusiastic crowds in 2008. Why not this year?

I’ll tell you why: it’s the same reason they cancelled the pre-convention rally at Charlotte at the race track — too many empty seats.

The media is busily manufacturing phony polls to keep Democrats’ spirits up and to depress our side, but the truth is that America has had quite enough of this noxious narcissist, his crony capitalism, his socialist rule by decree, and his pusillanimous foreign policy.

Are you listening Lord?

Good point. There were some stories about half-empty venues earlier in the campaign,

Or as Benjamin Franklin once said: “God helps those who help themselves.”

Could an Obama, puppet show, Spinal tap triple bill be far behind?

Great comment from Adjoran. Yesterday, when I was researching the “enthusiasm gap” after getting the “Disturbing Report” spam from DCCC (snort), I noticed the same lack of crowd photos. NYT was it’s usual artful self, chosing a slightly messianic vibe, and USA Today used an OLD crowd shot from “earlier this year.”

Could get interesting. We can see live coverage of Obama in Oskaloosa here, btw:
