The #BrettKimberlin Report D+74: Captain Ahab Rises – He Breeches!

07 August 2012 @ 08:58

He did not feel the wind, or smell the salt air. He only stood, staring at the horizon, with the marks of some inner crucifixion and woe deep in his face.

The saga of the Kimberlin/Rauhauser Cell has risen again from the waves of the Nihilist Ocean [or should it be 'Nealist Ocean'?].

Stacy McCain has filed a report that chronicles Neal Rauhauser’s latest pathetic attempt to deflect blame for his illegal and immoral actions on behalf of the Left [surprise! there's Soros money involved].

From Stacy’s report:

A Democrat political consultant with ties to convicted terrorist Brett Kimberlin has accused contributor Brandon Darby of making fake SWAT calls against conservative bloggers.

In a thousand-word document sent to government officials, Kimberlin associate Neal Rauhauser accuses Darby of conspiring with a number of others — including employees of Republican consulting firm Hynes Communications — in an elaborate criminal scheme involving illegal so-called “SWATting” incidents aimed at four conservative bloggers: Mike Stack, Patrick “Patterico” Frey, Erick Erickson of Red State and Aaron Walker. The document (see full text below) describes Rauhauser’s accusations that the SWATting calls are “tied to an extortion attempt by Mike Grimm, Congressman from NY-13, an obstruction of justice attempt intended to deflect attention from James O’Keefe, and the whole thing is being wrapped up by Hynes Communications in an attempt to create another ‘Bill Ayers’ for the 2012 election.”

Furthermore, Rauhauser forwarded to an associate of Darby copies of e-mails he sent to a Republican member of Congress. In the e-mails he sent to the office of Rep. Sandy Adams (R-Fla.) in June and July, Rauhauser charges that Darby and others were engaged in a “conspiracy to obstruct justice.” The full text of those e-mails is also appended below.

Do take the time to click here and read his full report, along with the documents and e-mails.

I think Adjoran does a damn fine job of analysis in Stacy’s Comment section:

What a moron.

Even Stacy McCain’s relentless reporting had run into slow going lately, and Frey isn’t able to produce much new information – Aaron isn’t trained as a reporter, either, so most of what he brings concerns his own cases.

IOW, the public attention was dying down. All these mooks had to do was lay low, NOT do anymore swearing of warrants, filing of lawsuits, or SWATting, and they might have been able to resume their non-profit scheme (perhaps with a diminished donor base) quietly in due time. The nation’s attention, and most bloggers’, is naturally going to turn to the election.

A wise man once told me, "Nothing is usually a smart thing to do, and always a smart thing to say."

But no, let’s stoke up the fire again, and give Darby a clear and unambiguous defamation case. Ah, discovery – it isn’t just a retired shuttle anymore.

Indeed. I wish Brandon well and would gladly contribute to any legal fund he might set-up. He’s a good man…and a brave one too. Thanks for the gift, Moby-Dickhead.

Aaron Walker Fisks Ahab’s, er, Rauhauser’s statements about him in a brief over at his site [tip of the fedora to John Hoge].

The white whale tasks me; he heaps me. Yet he is but a mask. ‘Tis the thing behind the mask I chiefly hate.

Adjoran does an excellent job (as do you Bob). It is always nice to have a Moby Dick reference. It is also funny how narcissists like Kimberlin and Rauhauser are so predictable.
