Wisconsin: Day Of Decision [Updated Below]

05 June 2012 @ 14:30

-Over at Legal Insurrection, William Jacobson will be providing live results and discussion starting at around 2015 EST. Until then, he’ll be updating this post here.

-Via Weasel Zippers, we learn:

The night before Wisconsin’s recall election progressive activists gathered around the Capitol to cleanse it of negative energy and sing together in solidarity. The evening opened with songs, some of which were written specifically for the events, as lyric sheets were handed out to attendees. They then practiced a meditational “Om” and then all pulled together to circle the Capitol building with their collective energy.

Tip of the fedora to Jeff Goldstein, who comments:

That’s the good news. The bad news is, Bill Maher is going to have to make another movie. Or else explain to all of us how believing in a deity is batshit crazy, but attempting to build a karmic energy field to control voting outcomes is all part of that famed liberal devotion to SCIENCE!

So…in their desperation the Godless pinko bastards are resorting to New Age remedies, eh? No surprise, if one recalls what Emile Cammaerts wrote: ‘The first effect of not believing in God is to believe in anything’.

Something tells me that this won’t be the only voodoo we witness in this campaign.

UPDATE at 1855…

-Over at Pundit Press, Matthew has filed a must-read report:

BREAKING: Suspected Fraudulent Ballot Applications Nabbed in WI, While Another Man Tries to Vote Twice

-Dana Loesch, who is on the scene in Wisconsin reports:

A Madison City Clerk has told a Wisconsin radio host that turnout for the area is expected at over 100%, up to 119%. What makes it all the more interesting is that this story comes from a far-left site.

Do take the time to click here and read the rest.

On Twitter, Smitty [@smitty_one_each] commented:

There is a certain logic to %119 turnout. Progressivism, after all, is predicated upon poor memory.

Indeed.  It’s what allows a person to say there are 57 states.

UPDATE at 2107…

In addition to William Jacobson’s live coverage of the results, Smitty is live-blogging, as well, and providing some very interesting links.

I watched the video of this, and it was really bizarre. I liked this comment someone left on YouTube: “That was totally awesome! The sound completely masked the 5 rapes that were taking place.”

We should collect Ed Schultz’ bitter tears. I hear they cure cancer…or at least can be used to rid a house of bed bugs! Victory is so sweet.
