It’s Schadenfreude Time!

From The Shark Tank’s Javier Manjarres, we learn [tip of the fedora to William Jacobson]:

The source told the Shark Tank that, “she ([Debbie] Wasserman Schultz) was not the first choice [to be DNC Chair*],” and that Wasserman Schultz feverishly lobbied her case of being a sitting ‘Jewish’congresswoman in a very safe Democratic district. According to the source, Obama was pressured into picking Wasserman Schultz because she impressed upon him that he needed her as a loyal foot soldier to run cover him and shore up his dwindling support with the Jewish voters as well as with women.

But while Obama has been able to rely on Wasserman Schultz to carry his water, the President has grown increasingly annoyed with the polarizing manner in which she attacks her political opposition-a style that has galvanized her Republican opponents and chased many of those coveted ‘Independents’ away.

It seems as if the relationship has soured to the point that according to the source, “[Obama] does not want her in the DNC anymore.”

Apparently, President Obama had discussions with the DNC Chairwoman regarding her approach, even telling her, “Don’t forget you work for me.” …It’s not about you, its about me.

He also reports that they don’t feel they can get rid of her because it would look bad right about now.

I love it.

Will they try and shut her up by giving her a hot, steaming cup of STFU? Make her fade into the background? Will she go quietly? Will both sides start engaging in a leak war?

Pop that popcorn and sit back and enjoy – it’s about all we got to amuse ourselves with so far.

*Actually, instead of that they wanted her to be the
table lamp or the potted plant, because they felt
both of those better suited her intelligence level.

I thought she was taking instructions straight from the master. He’s going all around the country “polarizing” with every word and action. But he outdid himself on Jimmy Fallon, making a first class fool of himself.

Debbie Downer’s potential as a spokesperson plummeted when she could no longer tag team with Wiener, say what you will about him, when he spouted the talking points he projected the illusion he knew what he was talking about. Debbie is like a kid mouthing the words she heard some grownup say.

Quite and that’s why I hope she stays as the DNC table lamp, er, Chair for a looong time.
