Derrick Bell: The Man With X-Ray Eyes [Updated Below]

12 March 2012 @ 09:50

In article published in the Harvard Law Review in 1985 [and edited by Elena Kagan], all-seeing seer Derrick Bell informed us of the results of his look into the White Man’s soul [courtesy of Joel Pollack at Big Government]:

The reason that the Civil War amendments failed to produce equality for blacks remains an all-too-familiar barrier today: effective remedies for harm attributable to discrimination in society in general will not be granted to blacks if that relief involves a significant cost to whites. Even in northern states, abolitionists’ efforts following the Revolutionary War were stymied by this unspoken principle. Today, affirmative action remedies as well as mandatory school desegregation plans founder as whites balk at bearing the cost of racial equality.

Yup. It’s all about money, which is what the Evil Whites in America are so obsessed with that they have condemned blacks to centuries of oppression and seek to continue to do so – that and we are just the worst haters on the planet of anyone who is not White.

And the reason we want to spread lies about Derrick Bell, that his thinking is ludicrous and born of a deep-seated hatred, is so that his revelations will be discounted as the product of a Nihilistic and ignorant hack bigot.

This is why the work of the folks over at the Breitbart sites is so important. Bell is one of Barack Hussein Obama’s heroes, part of a group that includes Bill Ayers, Saul Alinsky, Jeremiah Wright. The MSM knew this and covered it up in 2008 and those Americans too damn stupid to have listened to those of us on the Right who exposed Obama for what he is, a radical Leftist, blithely elected and placed a Communist in the Presidency. The MSM’s culpability must be exposed loudly and clearly so that enough people wake up from their comfortable slumber of ignorance and realize that Barack Hussein Obama and his followers and supporters are seeking nothing less than an overthrow of the government of The United States. They are Traitors.

Good people like Don Surber think exposing people like Bell and the influence he had on Barack Hussein Obama is a waste of time [you can read his full reasoning here]. Smitty’s reply to him is dead solid perfect:

However, there is a growing, non-tinfoil-hat understanding that Western Civilization in general, and the United States in particular, is under attack. The ideas of Derrick Bell and his ilk are not merely ‘wild ideas’: they represent an assault on History and truth itself. Now, I am by no means advocating censorship here. However, a vigorous, public review of everything this sad pack of jackwagons on the Left have been up to for the last half century is long overdue. Pretending that this is a distraction, and already was covered in 2008 is just giving #OccupyResoluteDesk a booster shot on the immunization he received from the media.

But the bigger point remains: the media deliberately and systematically worked to foist this fool upon us….

We must never be silent when confronted with Evil.

UPDATE at 1755…

Stanley Kurtz, author of Radical-In-Chief: Barack Obama And The Untold Story Of American Socialism, offers his perspective on whether exposing Obama’s Marxist past is worth the effort [worth quoting in full and allowed because I’ve touting his book here for nearly two years]:

Don Surber makes some good points in the course of arguing that “attacking Obama as a radical doesn’t work.” Certainly, conservatives are divided on this issue.

Many feel, and rightly so, that the mainstream press has refused to report important information about President Obama’s radical past. If we can just break through the media barrier and finally reach the broader public with the truth about Obama’s hard-left history, they believe, the president will lose his luster. Others, like Surber, see Obama’s radical past as a loser issue, legitimate perhaps in substance, but doomed to failure nonetheless. After serving nearly a full term as president the only workable strategy, they say, is to criticize what Obama has actually done in office.

I don’t quite hold with either view. The debate is miscast, both because it treats the past and present as sharply different, and because it assumes we actually know and understand what Obama has been doing these last three-and-a-half years. I disagree. Many aspects of Obama’s present–to say nothing of his plans for the future–are as guarded and mysterious as his radical past. In fact, the poorly-known side of Obama’s world makes the clearest sense only when you combine research into his past and present alike.

This is what I’ve been up to these past months, as I’ve been working on a book about Obama that will appear in early August. Among other things, my book will show that the differences between ways of criticizing Obama aren’t as clearly drawn as they now appear to be.

There are many aspects of Obama’s current policies that the public knows little or nothing about, and seemingly familiar things that are still poorly understood. When you put the total picture together, the links between Obama’s present and past can be drawn much more convincingly than many now imagine. At any rate, that is what I’ll be arguing in August.

I believe that many of the things I’ve dug up, along with the dots I’ve connected about Obama’s transformative ambitions–past and present alike–will be genuinely disturbing to voters far beyond the Republican base, including moderates and independents. Sweeping judgements about how best to criticize Obama are premature.

I can wait to buy his new book.

The Man with X-Ray Eyes was a cult classic. Still can’t find a copy with the original ending though 😦

I liked the movie, although it gave me a headache when I first saw it.

      What original ending???

Mr. Obama doesn’t see our nation the same way anyone who comments on here does, or even, God help us, portions of the Democratic Party. If they knew what he thought about some things, heavy industry labor would reject him. Too bad they’re only regional…

That’s another reason why it’s so important to get the word out about this Marxist.

We simply cannot get another four years.
