The Spot-On Quote Of The Day…

27 February 2012 @ 17:07

…is awarded to Smitty for his message to Ann Coulter, who has disappointed the conservatives who have been defending her all these years with her catastrophic loss of Right Reason in her advocacy for non-conservative Willard Mitt Romney:

…Ann, you’ve been great in the past, and I hope that the shocking spectacle of your 2012 beclownment is something you can overcome. But the sad truth is that the Romney infatuation is starting to resemble some of the creepy BHO infatuation I’ve seen from a couple of Lefties I know.

It will take an awful lot of effort on Miss Coulter’s part, including many apologies, for many of us to forgive her attacks on conservatives.

Smitty is right: what started out as Miss Coulter embarrassing herself with her support of Chris Christie has turned, with her support of Mitt Romney, into something worse: the frittering away of any respectability she may have earned on the Right.

Some believe she is supporting Willard because she believes he is the only one of the announced candidates that is electable.  Fine.  A good number of conservatives believe that and their argument is legitimate.  But, what sets Miss Coulter apart from folks who believe this is her denigrating of those who disagree and the fact that she is using Leftist Logic to do so.

One is forced to ask the following question, and I do it with no satisfaction or enjoyment: Was the whole ‘Ann Coulter: Conservative Boudica’ thing an act?

The notion that Romney is electable let alone the most electable is the same old Stupid Party canard that holds that only centrists are electable, it would appear that Ann is not a conservative but merely a Republican.

Methinks you’re right [and ‘Right’, too].

I still think that Coulter was replaced by an alien pod-creature, but it’s just a theory. There is the possibility that this is a huge practical joke of some kind.

Either possibility makes sense in this case!

So, when will she get her horn?
