I Am Teatardicus! [Updated Below]

25 February 2012 @ 14:15

William Quick, the man who coined the term ‘Blogosphere’, has put his naming genius on display again by devising a nice, simple, easy to say name for those of us who embrace the TEA Party spirit:

Replying to those who are whining about the primary season being too long, he quips [or is it ‘he quicks’?]:

Yeah, we need a short, sweet primary season so the RNC can lock things up for its favored next-in-line Gentry GOP Ruling Class RINO candidate without having to deal with Teatards, Bitter Clingers, and other Right Wing Nutjobs.

‘Teatards’ – I like the sound of it.

So does Smitty [tip of the fedora to the Admiral for linking Mr. Quick’s post]:

I love ‘Teatard’, which I think I first saw on Daily Pundit. As a proud Teatard, I think we need more, not less, time and focus on policy and candidates. #OccupyResoluteDesk famously talked about sunlight as a disinfectant. That BHO meant that statement about as much as anything else he campaigned on, which is to say, not at all, does not negate it.

Much as the members of the Conservatives in Britain embraced the insult name, Tory,  hurled at them by their opponents, and Republicans embraced the sarcastic nickname ‘GOP’, I will embrace ‘Teatard’ and wear it proudly as a badge of honor.

UPDATE at 1430…

According to Bill Quick, one of his frequent commentators, SDN, came up with the term.  I know SDN as one of the most intelligent commentators over at The Other McCain, so I’m not surprised.
