TCOTS Sends Season’s Greetings To Our Political Friends

25 December 2011 @ 08:08

This has become a tradition here…

Note: One of our friends inevitably sends us a version of this every year.  I’ve adapted it slighty to fit the situation.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or explicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2012, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great [especially the Mayans this year]. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference, gender assignment, of the wishee.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

    Merry Christmas, Bob.

And a mundane RamaHanaKwanzMas to any stray moonbats that happen by. 🙂

It’s still somewhat [only ‘somewhat’, mind you] amazing to me that local TV stations still put up the ‘Happy Kwanzaa’ messages every year, even after it’s been shown to be a scam celebration.

A Happy New Year to you.

Thank you, Tere. The same to you and yours and may you enjoy better health in the New Year. We need our Wolverines to be as strong as possible.

Same to you and yours, Matt – belatedly, as well [I really didn’t want to leave New Hampshire].
