Waxing While The Culture’s Waning

16 December 2011 @ 10:06

Stacy McCain asks the question: Why does a woman get a Brazilian Wax?

His answer: Because She’s A Slut.

From his post:

Like pierced bellybuttons and tattoos, this is a trend popular with hussies, harlots, trollops, tramps, vamps, floozies and whores.

And…

Roxeanne De Luca asks the key question:

Young women of the world: have you all gone mental?

Indeed. The insecurities on display — “Will the guy who picks me up in a bar be disgusted if I my nether regions are not ‘well-groomed’?” — are a perfect illustration of how sexual “liberation” has resulted in a new slavery: Women now groan under the yoke of sexual expectations created by pornographers.

Roxe’s post is well-worth a read, as always.

In the Comments section of Stace’s post, K-Bob remarks:

This anti-bodyhair fetish seems like recessive pedophilia to me.

I think it’s more a sign of the fact that no one wants to mature anymore, but depravity certainly plays a part in it.

After a while, normal sex becomes boring for those who are obsessed with it, so, to keep the thrill factor high, you progressively [pun intended] get more and more perverse. It like taking drugs: to achieve the same level of euphoria, you have to keep increasing the amount you take.

Getting a Brazilian Wax infantilizes the woman, making her nether regions look like those of a ten year old girl.

Breast implants are infantile in their own way because they make a woman look cartoonish, not real, like characters in comic books and graphic novels [this, of course, does not apply to women who get them after they've had mastectomies].

The very few times I got to, ahem, experience another woman (am gratefully married now) it didn’t matter to me what they looked like, just thankful she deemed me worthy enough to grant me access.

    IYKWIMAITYD.

In The Screwtape Letters, C.S. Lewis said that Satan’s goal is to take normal, healthy pleasures and pervert them, so that we need ever more for ever less enjoyment in return. When you decouple sex from love, you end up working incredibly hard to replace the love component with physical pleasure and excitement, which must necessarily result in ever-increasing disordered activity. “Normal” sex becomes boring, not because it is so, but because it is so without love, without the underlying connection that constantly strengthens as the couple goes through married life.

      Well put, Roxe.

I should have mentioned this in my post: that bit you quoted from me came from my work The Screwthis Letters.

Um, wow, I kinda think y’all are reading a lot of B.S. into why a woman wants to get a Brazilan Wax. Here’s a little TMI, but…. for me, personally, I like it. My husband likes it. And the sex (Oh, I do beg your pardon to be sure!) I mean the making love feels great. So how do you like them apples, peach?
Oh, and this slut will be teaching on Elijah in the morning. But, you know, we Lutherans are a rowdy bunch.

kellsbells: if you’re old enough to be married and to wax, you’re old enough to understand the difference between doing something that both you and your husband enjoy, versus doing something because some stranger will denigrate you for not doing it.

      In theory. YMMV.
