The Naked Mind Of Barack Hussein Obama

26 October 2011 @ 13:44

From ABC News, Devin Dwyer reporting, we learn [tip of the fedora to Wombat-Socho and Jonah Goldberg]:

At a million-dollar San Francisco fundraiser today, President Obama warned his recession-battered supporters that if he loses the 2012 election it could herald a new, painful era of self-reliance in America.

“The one thing that we absolutely know for sure is that if we don’t work even harder than we did in 2008, then we’re going to have a government that tells the American people, ‘you are on your own,’” Obama told a crowd of 200 donors over lunch at the W Hotel.

“If you get sick, you’re on your own. If you can’t afford college, you’re on your own. If you don’t like that some corporation is polluting your air or the air that your child breathes, then you’re on your own,” he said. “That’s not the America I believe in. It’s not the America you believe in.”

I’m willing to try it on my own, Miss Red Diaper, ’cause, unlike you and your pink audience, I believe in the America that exists in the real world. You know, the one you’re doing your damnedest to destroy, you moral traitor.

Over at Michelle Malkin’s joint, Doug Powers waxes eloquent:

There are still a lot of people who believe that the notion of self reliance and limited government is a feature of America instead of a glitch, and they long to see a return to those founding principles. These are folks who understand that America didn’t declare independence because the King failed to provide the colonists with a health care plan (Georgecare), free lunches and a retirement fund. This is an optimistic breed who can see the inherent good in their fellow Americans and realize that a tempered centralized bureaucracy doesn’t automatically translate to individual misery and hardship in a land where faith and charity are the rule, not the exception. They also believe that “federally mandated compassion” has to a great degree turned out to be a cruel and expensive oxymoron.

Very well put.

I’ve always been on my own! I don’t expect nor get, help from anyone!
He’s just letting his gov’t benefit leeches know that they’ll actually have to work and get off the welfare and foodstamps.

He’s such a putz! It will be nice to have gov’t off our backs and regulating every little thing.
The more he talks, esp. off script, the more everyone will find out what he’s REALLY about.
