Recedite, Legislatoribus! Gero Rem Imperialem!*

25 October 2011 @ 14:33

Via a posting by Weasel Zippers [which quotes from an article from The Daily Caller a publication this site no longer links] comes the latest pronouncement by our beloved and glorious Julius Obamacus Tiberius Nero Caesar:

“I’m here to say to all of you and to say to the people of Nevada and the people of Las Vegas, we can’t wait for an increasingly dysfunctional Congress to do its job. Where they won’t act, I will,” Obama said.

“I’ve told my administration to keep looking every single day for actions we can take without Congress, steps that can save consumers money, make government more efficient and responsive, and help heal the economy. And we’re going to be announcing these executive actions on a regular basis,” the president said.

Well…what do you expect a philosopher-king to do? What would Julius Caesar and Jesus do [if they were combined into one whole]?

Perde tyranni!

Tip of the fedora to Christy Waters.

His problem is that he and his minions are so inept at delivering on these promises.

Perhaps that’s the only thing that has spared us more destruction so far.

His plan to “forgive” college loans may be more effective as they’re more likely believe it’s going to happen and if it takes a year to actually make that happen that would be just fine by them. Most homeowners in trouble don’t have a year and any who try to benefit have to apply for the help and will quickly find out if this new twist on the old program will help them of not.
As far as I can tell this new deal allows homeowners refinance even if their mortgage is more than 125% of home value. It also removes the requirement that the original loan be investigated to determine if “predatory lending” practices were used. It’s no wonder the banks didn’t warm to the original program which was funded at about 50 billion but has only spent less than 8 billion.

It’s all just more paternalism from Big Brotha.

Love the Latin. Almost got it on my first try…
This is incredible. Of course this should come as no surprise since he doesn’t believe the constitution is moored in absolute truth: Further, he is of the party that historically derides the constitution and sees it as an obstacle to their goals, and they still praise those like Woodrow Wilson and FDR who held these beliefs. What a schmuck.
