The Spot-On Quote Of The Day…

28 August 2011 @ 16:45

…is awarded to Adjoran, frequent commentator over at The Other McCain, for this pithy and accurate description of our glorious Storm-Center-Commander In Chief [Stacy McCain’s phrase]:

Say, did anybody see Obama “running” the hurricane control room? He had his sleeves rolled up like he was going to help load sandbags or something, jacket off, and they even had a nameplate for him at his chair at the big table.

“Barack Obama
President of the United States”

Like somebody might not know who the dumb black guy getting in everyone’s way is . . .

I really can’t add anything to what Adj wrote — it’s so Goddamn beautiful.

This comment was made in a posting by Stacy that brought us some very welcome news amidst all the tragic reports that have accompanied this national catastrophe of biblical proportions:

This storm has caused a lot of concern for our environmentalist friends. However, according to the latest reports, no polar bears have been killed by the hurricane. So we can be thankful for that.

Thank the Lord, Algore!

SIDENOTE: If you’re interested, we made out just fine up here in my corner of New England.  It ended up being just like a typical Nor’Easter — and a moderate one at that.  Of course, our spirits were quite high last night because we raided our bar, but also because we just know FEMA will be delivering our plywood trailer very soon.

Glad you survived the storms, Bob!
Great comment. Very true too, as if we don’t know who the jerk is.
Maybe HE needed reminding which name he’s going by these days.

What a blowhard. I wish he got blown off a pier (so does he, probably) hee hee.

I think it more likely he’s get blown into a golf course lake!

I see you had a stash of the most valuable survival supplies laid back. Jack Black…or Maker’s Mark?

Maker’s Mark [Regular and 46]. You see, all you need, as Dino said, is bourbon and crackers – and we’ve got plenty.

What are you downstream from? I suspect interior to the coast flooding is going to be a BFD in the next few days.

I live on the side of a hill with no rivers or streams nearby.

In Manhattan the “hurricane” was what I predicted – nothing more than another nor easter with lots of rain.

As for no polar bears dying. Dammit! I have a great recipe that combines polar bear meat with Soylent Green.

      Sounds interesting.

Obama obliterates everything he touches, so pure genius putting him in charge of hurricanes imho

Good point. How about we take him over to Treasury and let him touch the debt?

On second thought: perhaps Obama’s just touched.

Oh, that’s good Bob! Adjoran is spot-on, as you say.
