How About A Little Breather…

02 July 2011 @ 16:40

We all need a little breather. And, hey, it’s Saturday Night and the lumpwort lickspittles of the Leftist god and the nibbling nitwit nimrods of our natural rights are off doing whatever it is pathetic pusillanimous parasites do in their sorry-arse slime-ridden [and, in some cases, jug-eared] social lives, so let’s kick back and relax a bit…

-It’s been two months since your humble spinner of satetacious satisfaction got himself all grooved up for some groovy gyrating, so let’s not fiddle that faddle any more and get on with the show.

-They say there ain’t no cure for the Summertime Blues, but I’m here to tell you that my friends and I don;t buy into that hooey — it’s all just jive.  For instance: in Tere’s America, The Eagles always Take It Easy and, as a Witchy Woman, she would know, because she and her husband are DesperadosWhy don’t they come to their senses?

-Summer has arrived and the livin’ ain’t easy for we members of the VRWC, but KC’s gonna make it all right with some Mungo Jerry and Chet Atkins  [tip of the fedora to Paco].

-What would this post be without an interlude from Amusing Bunni.  Amongst her usual collection of cute and funny kitteh videos, in a recent posting she published this video that gets you heart a-rappin:

Me?  I’m just a hep cat and I’m doin’ hep cat stuff.  Love ya, Bunni.

-Over at American Power, Donald ‘Restraining Order’ Douglas is ‘Talkin ‘Bout My Generation ‘ and one wonders: considering his advanced years, does he still have the same hope?  If he does, I’m tellin’ you right now: I ain’t gonna be the one to smother that brother.

-Now the Prof claims about him and his wife,  We Got The Beat‘, but you have to wonder when he posts, not one, but TWO versions of Judy Blue Eyes

-However, Donald redeems himself by posting two versions of one of the all-time great summer songs, Freebird, and the best Frankie Valli song of all time.

-Over at Paco’s joint, where the beer nuts and pickled eggs are free, our favorite Presidential Candidate is feeling Low, Short, And Squatty.  But that doesn’t mean that Ol’Paco ain’t ready to do a little RockBopBoogie.

-Now, friend Paco may be feelin’ LS&S, but, me, I’m just Fine And Mellow

-While Lady Day and I are just breezin’ along, KC is sending some wisdom our way because she and Dino knows You’re Nobody ‘Till Somebody Loves You.

-One hep cat who ain’t mellow, but is doing just fine, in the Still Of The Night, is our old friend, His Bloody Majesty, King Shamus — although, why he had no ramble on about Anthony Weiner’s Whitesnake is a mystery to me.

-Fellow platter spinner Matt knows just the right songs to play to get your warm weather groove on so you can Hold Your Head Up.  Like he says, ‘You can Call Me The Breeze, even though Tuesday’s Gone to Sweet Home Alabama, and I’m without Melissa, ’cause I’m still a Shooting Star who Don’t Fear The Reaper‘ [whew!].

-While most of the songs above are Summer Songs, for me, traditionally, these are the ones I play to officially begin my summer…

We may lose, and we may win, but we’ll never be here again [I know I linked Tere’s post that has this one, but, hey, I always play it twice – she’s such a fine sight to see]…

Fair warning…

-Southern man don’t need him around anyhow, but I do…

-…And then she blew my mind…

Bob, you da man. I appreciate the linkage, sir.

As for Congressman Cockshot’s Serpiente de Blanco, after a while my joke circuitry just overloaded itself from the target-rich environment and I had to go in for repairs and a sixer.

Bob, aren’t you sweet! I’m glad you enjoy my cute kittehs!
We need their smiles in these trying times!

Mylo is contagious, in a good way! I think I”ll watch him again, and I’ll
be humming that silly song all day 😉
    luv ya! ~ Bunnikins

Tere / Matt: I did. Mrs. B. and I rewatched a Soundstage episode featuring Skynyrd that we had DVR’d – one of their best concerts [love the song God And Guns].

Your Majesty: Understood. Same thing happened to me at one point.

Bunni: Keep them videos a-coming. I always visit your wildlife reserve when I’m feeling blue/
