The Spot-On Quote Of The Day…
…is awarded [I really have no choice] to Lancelot Link Burri, aka: The Troglopundit, aka: the Suaveinator [I first called him that], aka: The Evil Burri, for retaining his enthusiasm despite all the hysteria coming from the naysaying nabobs of ninnydom Nihilism:
Well, hell, I’m “open to review” of our nuclear policies, too.
So I’ve got that in common with Sen. John McCain:
McCain is open to review of U.S. nuclear power policy
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Tuesday that he’s open to reviewing the use of nuclear power in the United States.
Of course, once we’ve “reviewed” things, I’m pretty sure I’ll want to step up our nuclear energy program. Build more! Faster! With the latest technologies!
And by “pretty sure,” I mean right around 98%, with that last 2% reserved for geosynchronous orbital solar collectors and for tapping the energy potential of union boss blood pressure fluctuations. That’s where the future is, I think. At least, as long as there are such things as union bosses.
Look, nothing in life is a sure thing — except death, taxes, and husbands getting nagged, so you’ll never be sure sure about something. But ninety-eight percent? Hey, that’s the highest level we mortals can hope for. And I think Trog, despite being the kind of guy who, if he were an actor, would be the in-house serial killer brought back for many episodes on Criminal Minds, understands this. I have no idea why I’ve written this paragraph and what I intended to say with it, but I do know that I wanted to have an excuse to post the picture at the right again.
I wasn’t able to have my usual Saturday Night meeting with Mark Makers and Col. Jack Daniel last week and I think this might explain why my brain functionality is failing me right now.
