Notes From The Campaign Trail: 26 October 2010 A.D. [Updated Below]

26 October 2010 @ 14:31

Countdown: Seven days from today is D-Day.

-Garbarge In / Garbage Out: possible voter fraud in Nevada courtesy of the HRM 9000.

-In Rhode Island, our Fearless Leader tells a Democratic Socialist to ‘run scared’.

‘Head for the root cellar ’cause a hard rain’s gonna fall’.

From The Caucus blog [tip of the fedora to Allahpundit and Instapundit][emphasis mine]:

In a radio interview that aired on Univision on Monday, Mr. Obama sought to assure Hispanics that he would push an immigration overhaul after the midterm elections, despite fierce Republican opposition.

“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”

Referring specifically to Republicans such as Senator John McCain, who are stressing border security and supporting strict immigration laws like Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration measure, Mr. Obama said, “Those aren’t the kinds of folks who represent our core American values.”

Three thoughts:

=Awfully strong words there, Barry — into stirring up a little ethnic and racial warfare are we?  What happened to you vow to bring everyone together in an orgasmic, multicultural hug?

=So…those of us who oppose opening the borders and letting everyone in are ‘enemies’ of all — every single damn one — of the ‘Latino’ peoples?

=What the Hell would you know about ‘core American values’ except how to tear them down and smash them into bits?

Jim Hoft, after listing links to the Nancy-Boy-In-Chief’s past tough talk, comments:

Unreal. Obama doesn’t even talk about radical Islamists that way.

-More dribble from the PC lunatics: Question #1 on the Rhode Island ballot seeks to change the official name of the state from The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations to just Rhode Island.  It seems Rep. Joseph Almeida thinks the term ‘Plantations’ refers to slavery.  The Corner’s Jack Fowler sets the historical record straight.

I was originally going to comment ‘Something tells me Almeida can’t be that stupid, so he must just be engaging in some typical Bolshe tradition bashing’, but, now that I think of it, if he’s the product of a PC-based education, then Al-need-a Clue might just be a total 100% USDA Grade-A ignoramus.

-Finally: from The Providence Journal, John Mulligan reporting:

President Obama’s final stop was a $7,500-a-head fundraiser in the well-appointed home of Arnold “Buff” and Johnnie Chace on the East Side, not far from Brown University.

The president spoke for about 20 minutes, then left before the dinner of locally grown foods by celebrated Rhode Island chefs — including lobster risotto — that Mrs. Chace had planned.

Fewer than 50 were in attendance, according to Eric Hyers, campaign manager for Providence Mayor David N. Cicilline, the Democratic candidate for the House seat being vacated by Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy.

Mr. Obama concluded his remarks at about 7:30, saying he couldn’t stay for dinner.

“I’ve got to go home to tuck in the girls and walk the dog and scoop the poop,” he said.

Now, a normal husband and father always mentions his kids, his pet, and his wife in such end-of-speech-ha-ha-I’m-just-like-all-of-you statements, so, let’s see: (1) we’ve got the kids, followed by (2) the pet, followed by (3)……ah, Holy Sharia!…I didn’t know, sorry.

-Updates a possibility later.

UPDATE at 1721…

-Over at Conservative Hideout, Ken looks at some the statements made by Obama recently [and mentioned above] and since he took office and reaches what I think is the only reasonable conclusion that can be drawn:

…If you have been paying attention to BHO politics you had to notice that there was something about the way he perceives people. While he may lump Americans into many categories he clearly looks at the people as either “friends or ENEMIES”. This could explain much if you think it through.

And this:

…America and the American way is his ENEMY. While democrats distance themselves Barry does what “Community Organizers” do: he attacks. He has attacked every good and decent thing or person in America….

Barry has seen the enemy and he is us.

Dead.  Solid.  Perfect.

-Jennifer, of Cubachi, has the dirt on the latest disgusting smear against Retired Colonel and hero Allen West and rightly takes to task Wimpy Mitt Romney.

I beg of you: please don’t support this guy in 2010 — he’s not one of us and, in this extremely dangerous world we live in [hey! thanks, Barry!], Romney doesn’t have the stones to battle our enemies.

-Just as disgusting is Lisa ‘The Loser’ Murkowski’s behavior in a debate Sunday Night where she impugned West Point Graduate and Desert Storm Bronze Star winner Joe Miller’s honor.  Dan Riehl has the info, links, and spot-on commentary.

Hey Lisa, yo!  See you next Tuesday — IYKWIMAITYD.

-And let us not forget Democratic Socialist Representative ‘Shameless Jim’ Moran who deserves to be granted permission by a judge to be allowed to replace of the ‘a’ in his last name with an ‘o’.  Smitty, who has been diligently documenting this Douche Nozzle’s idiocy, deserves a lot of ‘huzzahs’ from all of us [first round’s on me].

-The cliché is true: there is no honor [or shame] amongst thieves.

-Stacy McCain has been doing great work covering the Kentucky Head Stomp Affair here, here, and here.  Dare I state that I think he’s been ‘fair and balanced’ [take that you immoral and treasonous Bolshe bastards!]?
