Fear And Loathing 2010: I Got The Modern Sounds Of Modern Massachusetts*

11 October 2010 @ 19:59

The winner of the 2010 Nobel Prize for Gonzo Reporting, Robert Stacy McCain flew in Saturday Night to the Land Of The Bean And The Cod to report on the races in the Bay State.

-I spoke with Stacy this afternoon just before he took a well-deserved nap [he only got three hours sleep last night] and, though a bit fagged-out [not, I repeat not, in the Bwarney Fwank kind of way], he was in high spirits after what he had seen.  If things work out, I’ll try to head on up to where he is so (1) we can compare notes on the happenings in the Nor’East, (2) I can receive my latest instructions from VRWC-HQ verbally, and (3) I can consult with the Ultimate Rule 5 Mojo Master.

-Stacy filed his first report a short while after he got off the plane at Logan Airport in Boston on Saturday Night and it was about the race in MA-06 where Bill Hudak is running against current Democrat Representative John ‘Married To The Mob’ Tierney [please see my posting here for the background on the race].  We’ve got a chance to knock this beleaguered Bolshe off.

-There’s a group in Massachusetts, Bay State Future [run by someone named Barbara Weniger who look like-a man], that has been running ads against the Republican running for Governor, Charlie Baker, who is hoping to defeat current Chief Executive Deval Patrick [aka: Obama-Lite].  Stacy filed a report on Sunday about this group.  A highlight:

…The “Bay State Future” ads accuse Baker of favoring “tax loopholes that encourage companies to ship jobs overseas,” an accusation against Republicans that is being repeated all over the country this campaign cycle.

…if any Republican takes the Americans f0r Tax Reform pledge against new taxs, Democrats say this amounts to being in favor of shipping jobs to China — an absurd and outrageous lie that ignores the realities of both tax policy and trade policy.

Turns out, BSF is being funded by The Usual Suspects.  Stacy has the details here.  DaTechGuy, who lives in The Commonwealth, adds some more to this here.

-In his next posting, Stacy reveals the fact that Roxeanne de Luca, the Boudica of The Bay State, has a weak spot for film directors.  Eligible conservative bachelors: You know what to do.  BTW: the fedora she’s wearing is a DaTechGuy special.

-Very early this morning, Stacy filed a report over at The American Spectator on the race between Sean Bielat and Bwarney Fwank.  A highlight:

NEWTON, Massachusetts — Brian Phillips was wearing flip-flop sandals Sunday at the nondescript office near the corner of Elliot and Chestnut streets that is headquarters for one of this fall’s most remarkable congressional campaigns.

Phillips is campaign manager for Sean Bielat, the young Marine officer who is challenging Barney Frank in one of the most solidly Democratic districts in the country. During his 29-year career in Congress, Frank has never faced such a formidable opponent and the surge of support for Bielat’s campaign has clearly rattled the incumbent. Ever since Scott Brown’s triumph in January, the GOP in this state has been fired up (as Jim Antle noted last week in his article “Red Bay State”) and there is a sense among 4th District Republicans that the Democrats have been caught flat-footed.

“They’ve got no operation over there,” Phillips said of the Frank campaign. As Bielat told reporters at a Sept. 26 rally, “They have one campaign office. It’s always empty. We have three. They’re always full.”

-BTW: -Ladd Ehlinger is working his magic on a new ad for candidate Bielat.

-Stacy went to radio station WRKO this morning and watched one of the few debates the two candidates will be having and he filed another report.  A highlight:

BOSTON — Today’s WRKO radio debate between Barney Frank and Sean Bielat was mainly a lecture by Barney which could be summed up briefly: “You’re interrupting me! . . . Blame Bush! . . . You’re distorting what I said! . . . Predatory lending! . . . Stop laughing at me!”

It was blindingly obvious that the 4th District’s Democratic incumbent is not accustomed to defending himself or his record. Barney repeatedly filibustered, responding to simple questions with meandering stream-of-thought rambles that might have continued ad infinitum if no one had stopped him.

DatTechGuy has more background on the race here.

It’s so much fun to watch that arrogant douche-nozzle squirm [‘squeal like a pig, boy’].

-This is another one we can win.  Mr. Bielat is having a moneybomb today and Stacy has the details and links here

-I may update later as the situation warrants.

    ‘squeal like a pig, boy’

That ‘Deliverence’ quote was genius. The visual… haunts one.

I can recall Ned Beatty, and that didn’t look too good. But Barney Frank…

Good stuff, Bobby. It would be such a great pleasure to me to see Bielet pull this off. He looks like a good man, too.

Tip of the hat to the Mojo master when you see him.

“The more than $2 million worth of negative ads, aired by Bay State Future to help Patrick win reelection, were bankrolled by the Democratic Governors Association, with help from the Massachusetts Teachers Association and Local 1199 of the Service Employees International Union”

It does strike me as very wrong that people employed by the government and paid for by the people can be in a union which then donates to political campaigns for candidates that will further enrich them from the coffers of the people. And then for these creeps to pass themselves off as some ‘concerned group of citizen’s by calling themselves ‘Bay State Future’, while they tax and spend the state into oblivion. No future for the citizens of the Bay State with ‘Bay State Future’ pushing their bent inside deals.

Nicholas Comment #1: I was inspired! Look at the picture of Mr. Bielat Stacy has posted – it says ‘warrior’. And he makes robots that save our troops lives. Man, I share your hope for a big change.

Nicholas Comment #2: They’re just following the instructions in the standard Leftist Playbook [Chapter Four: Set Up False Front Organizations].

I’d compare the effect of employee unions to prohibition era gangsters infiltrating that era’s government.
