Barney Frank Speak With Forked Tongue

04 September 2010 @ 00:55

With the Bolshes you always — each and every single damn time – have to read between the lines of whatever they say because the meanings they attach to individual words and phrases are not the same meanings normal people do [Leftism is a mental disease, after all].

An excellent example of this came recently from Bwaney Fwank when he said in a speech:

So what we have is this right wing effort to remove any constructive role for the public sector.

My good Friend In The Ether Smitty had his sonar working when he heard that line and immediately probed it.  Please do take the time to read the whole report on his investigation, but, to whet your appetite, here’s a highlight:

constructive role

When a Barney Frank uses this term, what he does not mean is a minimal, clearly defined, Constitutional, liberty-enhancing, affordable, referee position.

Rather, a Barney Frank Progressive means a maximal affair. Roles are vaguely laid out in multi-ream legislation in a vague manner that only diminishes liberty. The Constitution is a joke in this mindset, and individual liberty is a bug, not a feature….

Actually, Sufferin’ Succotash Bwaney looks like one of them there big ass bug parasites that roam the rain forests of South America waiting for host and, when it finds one, crawls up the victim’s leg, bores it’s way into the intestines, and proceeds to feed off the nutrients of the poor host creature.

though I wear a shirt and tie, I’m still a Redman deep inside].

“Parsing” the left’s comments is a fine art, achieved only after years of practice. It is vital that no one EVER takes a leftist’s comments at face value.

I’m not sure Smitty’ll appreciate you saying he “probed” anything of Bawney Frank’s.

“So what we have is this right wing effort to remove any constructive role for the public sector.”

No. What we are saying is that you, in the public sector, have had a huge role, with disastrous consequences, and we’ve had enough.

Look, Barne, you’re the guy with the microphone and the fawning media. If you want to make a point to us all, first explain your role in the collapse of the financial industry. Start with your unbridled support of Fannie Mae and Fredie Man, your refusal to listen to concerns brought to you by the Bush administration and the regulator of the government loan institutions, your pressure on the banking firms to get involved in unsound, sub-prime mortgages, and don’t forget to mention the financial perks received by you and that tool Dodd. When you get done with all that, tell us how you are going to go about making it right to us and the rest of the world.

Then just sit your ass down.

Matt: Quite right. I’m heartened by the fact that many average Americans are developing the skill.

James: Right on, brother, right on. There’s a joke told in New England about Ol’ Hot Bottom: What’s Barney Frank’s favorite road sign in Massachusetts? Answer: Entering Dennis [fyi a town on Cape Cod].

Steven: It was a dirty job, but, old Navy Man that he is, Smitty understood that somebody had to do it.
