The Biggest Threat We Face

10 July 2010 @ 16:59

I’ve written many times here about the character of Barack Hussein Obama [see the Quo Vadis page].  I believe him to be an arrogant, narcissistic, spoiled brat who is stunted in his knowledge of the real world and has been cocooned by others from reality and reason throughout the whole of his life.  He lacks the mental curiosity necessary to make one mature and well-rounded as a human being.  He is not a man, a Mensch, in the traditional sense of what that term means.

In the past few days, a few of the best commentators/analysts in the real world have been offering penetrating insights into this man-child who presides over the most powerful nation on Earth.  I would like to present some highlights of the wisdom they have had to offer, supply some complementary commentary, but urge you to follow the links provided and read the whole of the insights they have to offer.  It is important that we understand the threats facing us and Barack Hussein Obama, who and what he is and, therefore, how he is likely to act because, I believe, he represents the biggest threat that we face in these perilous times.

In his latest column, Charles Krauthammer [trans: Charles Of Germany: Hammer Of The Gods] reminds of how modest Obama is when he speaks of the exceptional achievements and nature of America, but…

…When it comes to himself, modesty is in short supply.

It began with the almost comical self-inflation of his presidential campaign, from the still inexplicable mass rally in Berlin in front of a Prussian victory column to the Greek columns framing him at the Democratic convention. And it carried into his presidency, from his posture of philosopher-king adjudicating between America’s sins and the world’s to his speeches marked by a spectacularly promiscuous use of the first-person pronoun “I.”

Notice, too, how Obama habitually refers to cabinet members and other high-level government officials as “my” — “my secretary of homeland security,” “my national security team,” “my ambassador.” The more normal — and respectful — usage is to say “the,” as in “the secretary of state.” These are, after all, public officials sworn to serve the nation and protect the Constitution — not just the man who appointed them.

It’s a stylistic detail, but quite revealing of Obama’s exalted view of himself. Not surprising, perhaps, in a man whose major achievement before acceding to the presidency was writing two biographies — both about himself.

Obama is not the first president with a large streak of narcissism. But the others had equally expansive feelings about their country. Obama’s modesty about America would be more understandable if he treated himself with the same reserve. But it is odd to have a president so convinced of his own magnificence — yet not of his own country’s.

All leaders in every field have a certain amount of narcissism in their character, but Obama is one of the very few who is clinically a narcissist.  From the Mayo Clinic’s definition:

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. Those with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they’re superior to others and have little regard for other people’s feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

It doesn’t take Men At Work to tell us Who Can It Be Now.  For further evidence, please see this posting by Stacy McCain.

-I read about Dr. Krauthammer’s column over at Pat Austin’s site, And So It Goes In Shreveport, where she offers this spot-on commentary:

This is what Obama does, in word and in policy, is denigrate America. It’s ironic because America elected HIM.

To me, it’s all a way of puffing himself up even more. America is immoral, hostile, arrogant and needs his “historic” leadership and “his” Cabinet to lead us out of depravity and make the world love us again. It’s the old “Obama as savior” meme of the campaign.

I’m still not convinced. He can crow about himself all he wants to and he can write ten more autobiographies, but I’m firmly convinced that he doesn’t like this country and doesn’t want anyone else to, either.

This gets us back to his stunted mental growth and the fact that he has been pampered and moddycoddled throughout his whole life by radical Leftists.  Starting with his immature and morally bankrupt mother, down through his grandparents, teachers, mother’s boyfriends, and continuing with his wife and present-day associates, Obama has been infused with a hatred of all things American.  He has questioned none of this indoctrination and, therefore, is not to be considered in any way, shape, or form, a victim.  Obama has always had the option to exercise his God-given Free Will, but he has chosen not to do so responsibly, measuredly.

-Over at Paco Enterprises, Paco has filed a Bill Of Particulars in the true bill of indictment against defendant Barack Hussein Obama.  From his introduction:

As any professional investigator will tell you, if you’ve got overwhelming forensic evidence, you don’t need to demonstrate motive. I no longer care whether Obama is a closet advocate of the Cloward-Piven strategy, knowingly creating crises in order to expand the reach of the state, or whether he’s just a monumental idiot whose dreams of big government are immune to empirical analysis. His DNA and fingerprints are all over our nation’s current economic and foreign policy mess, and he needs to go.

The bill of indictment is long; here are just a handful of material items….

Please click here to read the true bill.  Even this short version on it’s own makes the case fully for any jury that takes it’s duties and responsibilities seriously.  One, minor quibble: he left out this part:

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.

-Finally, to those fifty-two percent of you who voted for Barack Hussein Obama and to those of you who did not, but yet still placed any hope in him and encouraged others to cut Obama some slack, I say:

The evidence was all there, out in the brightly lit open, that this person was everything as is declared above, yet you closed your eyes and ears and mouths, hoping to wish all of the negative thoughts away, like a child trying to avoid facing that he broke the lamp on the coffee table.  By your actions, you have put this country in grave danger.  The apocalyptic Iranians are close to having deliverable nuclear weapons; the other thug regimes of the world no longer fear us and are enjoying full license; there is an unstable, immature man in The White House who our lives depend on to protect us from these menaces.

Thanks a lot.

Obama is there because this is what America has become. The Left has completed its long march through all of our institutions so we shouldn’t be surprised that a stealth Muslim Marxist has made it to the White House. Don’t under estimate his plans that will do immense damage to the US.

I have never underestimated the son of a bitch. Because of that, I’ve been called a ‘nut’, a ‘loon’, melodramatic, etc…

Nonsense… he positively gushes about Kenya.

      ‘Tis true.

    Excellent summary.
One last thought: This doesn’t end with B.Hussein O’Bama’s departure. He’s a tool, a useful idiot, expendable. He is a symptom, not the disease. Holdren, Sunstein, Holder, Lady MacBeth, Jones… Look at that cluster of moon-bats. It’s the culture, an entire cancer that needs socio-chemotherapy. Lil’ Barry could resign tomorrow and we are still headed for a cliff. This thing needs to be turned-around and fast.

Dead. Solid. Perfect. It’s what I’ve labeled: The Present Crisis.
