The Spot-On Quote Of The Day…

05 July 2010 @ 17:20

…is awarded to Paco, Head Gardener of Paco Enterprises, for his application of a database management procedure to our current situation:

In my entire 55 years, I have not seen an administration, aided and abetted by its allies in the Senate and in Congress, and in state and local governments around the country, striking out with such arrogant self-assurance against the principles upon which our nation was founded. Over the last decade, each election seems to be more important than the one that preceded it, and the interim elections this year will likely indicate whether or not we have reached a tipping point in our advance toward a dreary, soul-destroying statism, presided over and implemented by hell-bent fools.

2010. Roll-back.

The radical Left believes that their time has come, that this is the best opportunity they’ve ever had in The United States to implement their ideas*.  Up until now, the Progressives have had to operate in the shadows, satisfying themselves with painfully slow progress, but, since 20 January 2009, they have felt it was okay for them to operate fairly out in the open [they continue to hide their exact intentions in order to buy more time].  Though they and their ideas are ultimately the delusions of mutated minds, the Left does retain enough sense, little though it may be, to know that their time is short and they must, therefore, act quickly.

Many have wondered how they could act so brazenly when, as they say,  it will mean they are turned out of office in 2010 and 2012.  Heads shake in wonder how the Left could be so politically blind.  The reason the Progressives are acting this way is that THEY DON’T CARE.  They know we ‘unelightened morons’ will rise-up and turn them out of office, but they are thinking beyond the short term.  The Left believes, with some justification, that, despite losing control of the Congress and, more than likely, The White House, they have, and will have, sufficiently spread their virus on a wide enough scale that we will not be able to turn back the march towards a Marxist future for America.  Sure, they figure, the Right will slow it down, but, as always in the past, the Right will not exhibit the testicular fortitude necessary to reverse course.

The Left has looked at the history of The United States over the past century and discovered it is a story of their ideas slowly invading every area of the society and culture.  The march through all of the institutions of America has been inexorable.  It is the Invasion Of The Body Snatchers writ large.  Even those of us who have proven to be the most resistant to the Leftist virus find ourselves using the twisted logic of Progressivism now and again, so ingrained is it in how our neurons fire, we do it without noticing it until after the event, if we notice it at all.

Victory in the Fall will be but a first tentative step as we climb a long stairway back up from the depths of the Hell we are in.  The Restoration we must seek is not merely a political or even a social one: we must restore our souls to where Right Reason once again governs ALL of our actions and, in those moments when it does not, it is not governed by a way of thinking that is ultimately nihilistic [ie: Leftist].  Leftist thinking is inimical to life – it is Anti-Life; we must be Pro-Life in all things, not just on one or two particular issues.

* Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse even wrote a song for them:

Just once in a lifetime
There’s one special moment
One wonderful moment
When fate takes your hand
And this is the moment
My once in a lifetime
When I can explore
A new and exciting land

For once in my lifetime
I feel like a giant
I soar like an eagle
As tho’ I had wings

For this is my moment
My destiny calls me
And tho’ it may be just once in my lifetime
I’m gonna do great things

Just once in my lifetime
I feel like a giant
I soar like an eagle
As though I had wings

For this is my moment
My destiny calls me
And tho’ it may be just once in my lifetime
I’m gonna do great things

It doesn’t have to be us standing blind folded in front of adobe walls, it needn’t even be them. 2010 November will tell the tale, if numerous records for turnover in State and local as well as national offices are set, then we’ll know the nation has awaken. Pundits and Pols like to make comparisons to 1994. The Bolsheviks opine no way while the Republicans say maybe. In 1894 the Republicans picked up 130 seats in the House 125 from the Democrats and 5 more from the 2 small parties. The Republicans are the stupid party but the Democrats are the stupider party. The American voters don’t have to be that smart to be smarter than the nitwits in DC, but they do have to be awake.

All true, but do the awakened understand that (1) the metastasized cancer has to be killed and (2) we all have the cancer to some degree.

We’ll find those answers in November. If the Social Democrats don’t suffer sweeping losses We’ll know that our country men are incapable of heeding the alarm.
