Fear And Loathing 2011: The Angle From New England
America’s favorite living Gonzo reporter is on the road again — this time in New England, primarily [pun intended] reporting from New Hampshire. And to make things even better, Stacy McCain is being accompanied on his adventure by his very own Oscar, Pete, aka: DaTechGuy.
Stacy filed two reports as he made the journey:
Fear And Loathing At Union Station
He arrived in Massachusetts yesterday and will be crashing on Pete’s couch. Pete has a report, with pictures, from their Beer And Loathing excursion.
-Though up in the Nor’East, Stacy managed to file two very good reports on Sarah Palin’s speech in Iowa yesterday and her effect on the other candidates.
-Pete and Stacy are already arguing.
-Stacy filed a report earlier today, which mentioned, among other things, his and Pete’s visit to some hallowed ground. Pete filed one, as well, about their activities last night and this morning [he also offers some spot-on commentary on Sarah Palin].
-This afternoon, Pete published some photos of the Tea Party Express event in Concord, NH.
-He has been offered a place on their bus, but he needs to raise $1.250 by Noon on Tuesday. If you want some good reporting and videos of their march from New Hampshire to Florida, please hit Pete’s tip jar here.
-Stacy and Pete attended Mandate Mitt Romney’s speech early this evening and Stace has already filed a report here that he will continue to update.
It was dangerous lunacy, but it was also the kind of thing a real connoisseur of edge-work could make an argument for… Separately, we might pull it off. But together, no — we would blow it. Too much aggressive chemistry in that mix; the temptation to run a deliberate freakout would be too heavy.

When the going gets weird, the weird go to New Hampshire. Why don’t you come up to Manchester tomorrow, Bob?
I wish I could have made it, Stace, but it was my brother’s birthday. Go figure, he’s a Libertarian and he was born on Labor Day.
