Keep the NORC Alive – Ignore The NRCC And NRSC

05 November 2010 @ 10:15

I am convinced that the Not One Red Cent Campaign, run by Stacy McCain, Smitty, Pat Austin, Gator Doug, Dave C, Richard McEnroe, Carol [Carol's Closet], and Paco [if I missed anyone, please let me know in the Comments Section], contributed a great deal to the victories we achieved on 02 November.

Thousands of folks heeded the Wolverine call of founder Stacy McCain in May of 2009:

Fight back against the national GOP leadership’s betrayal of the conservative grassroots!

We gave our money directly to the candidates who pledged to lead the fight to restore our freedoms and liberties, and we rejected the overlordship of the feudal barons who make up the GOP Establishment.

Out of this rebellious seed many flowers bloomed, most especially and successfully the Ten Buck Friday Campaign.

Also, an attitude permeated The Rightosphere that we, the grassroots, could force a desiccated and moribund Republican Party to listen to and heed us.

Even with the victories of 02 November, The Battle Rages On — witness this abomination as reported by Stacy McCain:

That the GOP won the House is some kind of miracle, considering the total ineptitude of Pete Sessions and his crew of bumbling dingbats at the NRCC. Renee Ellmers beat Bob Etheridge in North Carolina. Now the Democrat is asking for a recount and Ellmers has gone public with the fact that the NRCC is MIA….

She needs our help to battle Ballistic Bob Etheridge.  You can contribute by clicking here.

This is EXACTLY why the NOT ONE RED CENT campaign must continue on.

There will be a temptation to set up an alternative, outside organization to gather and distribute monies to candidates, but it must be resisted because all such organizations are subject to the same sickness that infects the NRSC and NRCC: elitism born out of becoming part of The Establishment.

Better this stay a ‘federalist’ system, as it were.

We’ve only just begun, Wolverines.

Long ago I stopped giving anything to aggregators of any kind. I give ONLY to the individual candidates. Certainly I would have preferred to help more candidates, but I wasn’t about to help sustain or create any more puppet masters.
