The Spot-On Quote Of The Day…
The problems of the Republican Party are systemic and rooted in what sociologists might call “selection effects.” It’s a matter of organizational dynamics. Personnel is policy, as they say and, in the final analysis, the GOP has a personnel problem.
Over the years, the Republican Party has attracted to itself – at both the operational and managerial levels – certain types of personalities, so that the style and content of Republican politics tends to be predictable. This is a problem that people who’ve lived their lives inside the GOP “bubble” can’t accurately perceive, and so change must come through outsiders who challenge the status quo.
Spot-on.
The word ‘incestuous’ comes to mind. These type of folks only talk to the same of type of folks, visit each other’s houses, hang together in a group at Dem functions, and speechify to each other at conferences and lectures.
We are the outsiders. The GOP Industrial Complex has refused to listen to us the vast majority of the time because they think they know better. The few times they have acceded to our wishes they did so merely to throw us a bone, thinking that it would keep us quiet for a while — and in the days when we were less aware of the dangers to The Republic, it did, but no longer. The GOPIC totally misunderstood and misjudged the TEA Party Movement, totally botched the fight against socialized health care — the list of their tin-eared stupidities is a long and disheartening one. The GOP Establishment has been tried and found unanimously guilty of the crime of first-degree nonfeasance* and the pressure of the outsiders like Andrew Breitbart, Stacy McCain, and others are not enough anymore. The Young Turks within the GOP must rise-up and defy the entrenched and encrusted GOP Establishment and we, the heart and soul of the Right must launch an offensive from our flank. A key in making any victory we achieve worth the time and effort to achieve it is that it must be made clear to the Young Turks that our’s is the main offensive, that we won’t get fooled again — no ‘meet the new boss / same as the old boss’.
WOLVERINES!

Stacy’s remarks are absolutely in the pocket.
Yours are even better. That’s what I’m talkin about.
Rob: Thank you for the kind words.
Excellent quote, even better interpretation. The GOP, at the top levels, are just as elitist as the “progressives.” I’ve documented that they Tea Party movement are making inroads into the GOP power structure, but it will take years to make a takeover complete. We need to keep up the pressure.
Matt: Thanks. Your remarks are spot-on – the pressure has to be relentless.
spot on!:)
Angel: Thank you.
In acoordance with Stacy McCain’s RULE 2…
