It’s Recess For Dr. Death Panel

07 July 2010 @ 11:17

So now he gets to play and have some fun!…

From Pat Austin, who has been on the case since the beginning, we learn:

Dr. Death Panel gets a recess appointment – who is surprised?

The most transparent administration ever has decided to circumvent Senate confirmation hearings on Dr. Donald Berwick, Medicare Czar, and “deem” him confirmed, at least through next year.

Regular readers of Pat’s site, And So It Goes In Shreveport, and here at TCOTS will recall who this fellow is and what he believes, but, in case you do not, please click here and here to read my two previous postings about him that contain links to Pat’s research.  You’ll come away from doing so understanding why I labeled him Dr. Death Panel.

In her current posting, Pat provides a quick example:

Berwick also said that

“any health care funding plan that is just, equitable, civilized and humane must, must redistribute wealth from the richer among us to the poorer and the less fortunate. Excellent health care is by definition redistributional.”

He’s a known advocate for rationing and gets starry eyed when talking about the British NHS, a system fraught with rationing, overcrowding, inferior care, and horror stories.

Some may take comfort in the fact that the appointment is only good until the next Congress meets early next year, after the elections.  Well…don’t.  Obama knows it is highly likely that he will lose his total control of the Congress and that Berwick will not be approved by it.  You have to ask yourself: why then appoint him now?  The answer is that Berwick can implement a lot of regulations under the radar between now and then.  In other words, Obama is once again employing a tactic to abuse and usurp The Constitution.

We can do nothing to stop Comrade Obamnin from appointing this Angel Of Death, but we can raise Holy Hell about it by creating a big stink.  And maybe a Glenn Beck-type will run with the story.

‘I got it bad.  I got it bad.  Got it bad.  I’m hot for rationing!’
