Before we introduce this week’s choice of gal to spotlight, The TCOTS Rule 5 Compliance Committee would like to respond to one of our reader’s assertions in the Comment Section of a recent Rule 5 posting. This person, who shall remain anonymous, claimed that we favored blondes over all other types of women. The Committee would like to state that this is a baseless accusation and, to be kind, must be the product of a mind lost in the ravages of dipsomania [of which various members of The Committee have first-hand knowledge]. The fact is: we are prejudiced in favor of ladies with black or brown hair. For the record, Mr. Belvedere’s first love as a young lad of eight was Paula of The Golddiggers. She left an indelible impression on his psyche and he has had a special fondness for dark-haired gals ever since.
Now that we have cleared up that misunderstanding: The TCOTS Rule 5 Compliance Committee is proud to present…

Well, since your interlocutor asserted you prefer blondes, then he or she deserves this evaluation and its accompanying opprobrium.
Blondes are superior attention-grabbers, thus the very many who color their hair so. But brunettes, well, brunettes stir the passions. I do not know why this is, but it is, especially if their hair is henna or “jet black,” as that lack of color formerly was described (I know not why).
Anyhow, your interlocutor has some “issues” with the truth and you have been most gracious with his or her febrility, their “inflamed cerebral condition,” *Jeeves and Wooster.*
