This Is As Good A Case For Shunning As I’ve Ever Seen
In this age of loose morals and relativity, the good old-time practice of shunning is quite out of favor. I’ve long been a lonely voice in the wilderness calling for it’s comeback. Shunning is a society’s way of saying a certain behavior will not be tolerated or condoned, that some actions are beyond the pale. It involves no violence or denial of real rights, merely the refusing to speak with or have any dealings with the perpetrator. It seeks to isolate those who would, by their actions, tear a hole in the social fabric.
Over at iOwnTheWorld, Big Fur Hat reports on the story of the late Gary Coleman’s wife selling pictures of the star on his deathbed. That previous sentence does not even convey how ugly and disgusting the whole situation is, so please take the time to click here and read the whole posting.
There’s a special place in Hell one hopes for such slime.
