Question Of The Day

02 April 2010 @ 10:33

It comes courtesy of ‘Lancelot Link’ Lance Burri, the TrogloPundit, and is surprisingly [for him, anyway] quite good:

Man, that [Thomas] Jefferson was one smart guy. How’d he ever get roped into founding the Democratic Party?

Good question, Trog.

If any of you have an answer, I would appreciate hearing it.

SIDENOTE: A hint perhaps?…

Special Note to The Classic Liberal: I eagerly await your take with baited [get it?] breath.

The true father of the Democratic Party was not Jefferson but Aaron Burr, who set up the machine-politics system the Dems use to this day…

This makes sense as the Dems have always been to me like a burr stuck on my arse.

I would think that Thomas Jefferson’s ideas on Democracy and the ideas espoused by our leftist “friends” today are quite different. I’m just sayin’

Bob, the Party Jefferson and Madison, and Monroe were part of was the Democrat Republicans, and about as far removed from today’s Democrats as ideologically possible. Democrats claiming Jefferson is asinine.
