The Gathering Storm

19 March 2010 @ 19:56

I haven’t commented on the whole situation in Washington today because I’m gathering my thoughts [and digesting and gathering some good commentary and analysis from my Friends In The Ether].  Its my goal to post on the Constitutional Crisis tomorrow.

I was, however, inspired in a single thought today.  Reaching back into my brain a concept occurred to me that I deemed best expressed with a little automotivating:

Remember: This is just the start for them.

We know who Caesar is, but who is Pompey and who is Crassus?   I think Ol’Botox Breath/Face is Pompey.  What say y’all?

I wish they were as dumb as we think. I’m worried that they might try and pull some forceful stuff.

I don’t think they think much at all. Liberals feel and then spout dogma it’s almost instinctual. They may be twice as dumb as they appear but their not half as dumb as they act. The left’s main intellectual problem is that they believe their own mythology. For instance they seem to truly believe that the major factor driving HC costs is greedy insurance companies. This current crop of progressive is astounding in their inability to conceptualize how their actions appear to those who don’t wholeheartedly share their beliefs. They insist that the majority of Americans don’t care about the “process” and won’t hold it against them no matter how nefarious. I suspect they believe this because these tactics have been used before with no backlash of outrage. The fallacy is that while Pelosi crows that this legislation is historic they can’t grasp that people are paying attention to all aspects including the “process” is at historic levels. The insistence that it’s been done before and the public didn’t scream about it, while accurate completely ignores that we’re watching now. If they ever had a plan more sophisticated than “just do it” it certainly didn’t contemplate any variables. The totally ad hoc nature of their methods in dealing with the obstacles they’ve encountered clearly shows they anticipated no obstacles. That all of their problems originate within their own party betrays an astounding lack of awareness of how those who haven’t drunk the “Kool-Aid” actually think. That their disdain for the evil conservatives prevents them from comprehending our views is one thing. That they thought that all the members of their own party would automatically march in lockstep no questions asked is really quite remarkable. If they are successful with using Demon pass with HC as is probable they’ll very likely do it over and over again this year but I doubt any congress will use it after November. That they aren’t as dumb as they act reveals their true weakness isn’t stupidity it’s that they are truly delusional. As for the use of force, not until after November but we should be watchful for the preparations.
