‘The Facts Of Life Are Conservative’

03 February 2010 @ 10:49

So said the great Margaret Thatcher.  And so our Fearless Leader is finding out, as Russ, over at That’s Right, points out:

It must be nice to be a political novice and pretend you live in a fantasyland where you can say and do whatever you want and the world will listen and fall in line. But the real world doesn’t work that way…and our President is finding that out in a hurry:

Liberal Fantasy: “Obama and Biden believe that it was reckless for Congress to give George Bush any justification to extend the Iraq War or to attack Iran.” — barackobama.com

Conservative Reality: Patriot missile batteries have been deployed to the Persian Gulf region while Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is threatening a “harsh blow to global arrogance” in less than 10 days.

Please do take the time to click here because Russ has more good examples.

This all stems from the fact that Leftism, in all of its thinking, denies that A is A, that a thing is what it is no matter what you call it.  You can call ‘A’  ‘B’, but it is still, and will forever be, ‘A’.

Even in their allegorical sense… the facts of life lead to life. A culture that enshrines abortion as a sacrament will, in time, literally die away.

Thanks Bob. Lady Madge is as poignant today as she was 30 years ago. No matter how badly they want it to be so, facts are facts. Moreover, more often than not the facts simply don’t support liberal theories, in any arena.

One correction though, the piece was written by thats-right contributor Reverend Guido McLovin, who is not an alter ego of mine.

Just wanted to give him credit for the piece.

    Thanks again brother,

    Russ

I can sit in the garage all day and I still won’t be a car. The 11th of February is the day the Ayatollah returned to Iran, when the Shah was ousted in violent revolution, and the embassy was taken over – a ‘hostage crisis’ that lasted, if I remember correctly, 444 days. We gonna get a repeat in some way? Am I the only one who wouldn’t be surprised?

I get the feeling something bad’s gonna happen. They know this clown President is a weakling.

Didn’t they just fire off a “research rocket” today too?

Research my ass. I can’t imagine them actually trying something on the 11th though, just seems too predictable. I’m thinking they let that day come and go and then, when tensions ease, spring something on Israel.

Why anyone doubts Ahmadinejad’s sincerity is beyond me.

I can live underwater and it won’t make me a fish.

Great post Bob. I’ve been kicking around how to tackle this issue because it is so monumental and you’re right, with every passing second it becomes more and more of a probability as opposed to a possibility.

Couple Obama’s complete abdication of his responsibilities with the media’s utter failure to report responsibly on the threat and this scenario and Israel literally bears the weight of the world on its shoulders with no help in sight.

The X-factor to me, among other significant Y-factors, is how American commanders and troops in the field would react to an Israeli strike while they’re still in theater, fighting another War? Could we literally have a scenario where the Commander-in-Chief refuses to act but the commanders on the ground decide to go over his head and do something? What about in the event of a region-wide retaliation, which isn’t out of the realm of possibility?

By hook or by crook, Obama has a real chance of killing us all.
