Though not a football fan, I think I did yeoman’s work in promoting the BCS Championship Game and the on-scene reporting done on it by my friend Stacy McCain. His gonzo reporting from Pasadena was quite enjoyable to read, even for this dyed-in-the-wool hockey fan. However, with one single posting, Russ, over at That’s Right, has outdone all of Stacy’s postings. This singular effort captures what was most important about the game better than the efforts of anyone else…at least as far as this non-football fan is concerned. A highlight:
