Don’t Get Your Hopes Up [updated at 18:29]
That’s the message about the Scott Brown / Martha Coakley race in Massachusetts to replace the Leftist Saint Ted Of Chappaquiddick from DaTechguy who lives in the People’s Republic:
I’ll still vote for him, and I’ll make the case for him with whoever I can but I’m not going to get my hopes all up nor my knickers in an uproar if he loses. I may be known for my mindless optimism but I’m just not seeing anything on the ground to support it here.
Just as he points out, the teacher and public employee unions know how it important it is to get Mzz. Coakley elected so that nothing interrupts the flow of other state’s dollars into the Bay State Economic Basketcase. Also, the Do-Nothing DA is in tight with SEIU. Further, if the national GOP is rightly called The Stupid Party [and it most certainly is], then the Commonwealth’s version is The Incredibly Unbelievably Stupid Party. In my forty-plus years of following politics, I have never, ever, seen such incompetence in a party organization like I’ve witnessed coming from the Massachusetts bunch.
Please do take the time to click here and read DaTechguy’s full report from the trenches which also contains some quotes from Jules Crittenden, the very wise Boston Herald Editor. If you’re interested in this race, I would highly recommend you make these two guys your first stop in your search for the latest info and wise commentary [Here's the direct link to Mr. Crittenden's site].
UPDATE at 1829…
I must apologize to William Jacobson, over at Legal Insurrection, for forgetting to recommend him along with DaTechguy and Jules Crittenden as THE places to go for information on this Senate race. He’s been providing great coverage and top-notch analysis.
